General situation:

BAGUIO CITY Flood waters in Brgy City Camp, Brgy Brookside and Brgy, South Sanitary Camp are now subsiding. Landslide incident: At around 9:00 AM today, August 15, 2012, at a small scale miners camp (a house made of Gl sheets) boarded by three resting small scale miners at Mount Emerald, Baligui, Purok 5, Barangay Kias extension, Baguio City, was covered by a landslide. lmmediately teams from Police, Baguio-Benguet Public lnformation & Civic Action Group (BBPICAG) and the Baguio City Emergency Medical Services (BCEMS) responded at the site where the miners were being rescued by colleagues. 1 survived and 2 died. (For details please refer to the list of casualties) APAYAO Light rains Apayao River swelled but still NOT in critical level. No report of power outages. Assessment of high risk areas on going for possible implementation of pre emptive evacuation

Dead on Arrival at Baguio General Hospital Due to landslide at Mount Emerald, Baligui, Purok 5, Barangay Kias extension, Baguio City Rescued at 11:30 AM (OBl15l12) Dead on Arrival at Baguio General Hospital o Mr. Dingayan is from Sitio Hilltop, Talifugo, Conner, Apayao. o At around 9:00 PM on August 14,2012, the victim together with his 6 companions were setting up a tent to higher ground when the victim was hit by a falling tree branch. Mr. Dingayan died at 10:00 PM at Alawino. Talifuoo. Conner. Aoavao. All LDRRMCs on RED alert status level and discuss local preparedness for possible
emergency response. Continuously disseminating warning advisories to the public, to all LDRRMCS and CRDRRMC member-agencies and media practitioners utilizing the SMART info board (2623 or COCD), email, social media network, facsimile and SMS Undergone Press Releases thru media partners from ABS CBN-Baguio, GMA 7Northern Luzon and other radio stations. Re-emphasized the implementation of PRE EMPTIVE EVACUATION of communities Iocated at high risk areas. Assisting LGUs in monitoring the water rain fall thru the use of Project NOAH Website Distributed and prepositioned sacks of rice to LGUs prone to Flash-flooding Continuously monitoring AOR. Conducted site assessment to affected areas and activated evacuation centers in Baguio City and La Trinidad.
