MAC LEAN SCHOLARSHIP GENERAL INFORMATION

BACKGROUND
TheRoweFundStudentloanprogramoftheOrganizationofAmericanStates(OAS)isofferingscholarshipsfor Peruvian women to help finance their higher education in the DC metropolitan area (The Mac Lean ScholarshipFund).TheMacLeanScholarshipFundwasestablishedthroughthebequestofJuliaMacLean,a formerGeneralSecretariatstaffmemberoftheOrganizationofAmericanStates.Withthisbequest,Ms.Mac Lean wished to create a scholarship fund to benefit Peruvian women studying in the Washington, D.C. MetropolitanareathatwouldbemanagedbytheRoweFundoftheOAS.

APPLICATIONPROCESS
Applications are now open! A total of 10 onetime scholarships will be awarded, in the amount of $6,522 each. Completed applications are due by September 14, 2012, and will be evaluated by the Rowe Fund committee on the basis of merit and need. Applicants will be notified of decisions within the month, and awardeeswillbesentacheckattheirU.S.address.Formoreinformationontheapplicationprocess,please seetheApplicationChecklistwhichfollowsandattachedapplicationmaterials.
