You will need a craft knife or other sharp knife, a pair of scissors, some glue and a glue spreader.
Print out the parts sheets onto thin cardboard. Photocopier card is ideal. Notice that the parts pages are marked front and back. Print out a front page, flip it over, then print the back onto the same sheet. Leave the ink to dry completely before continuing. Before cutting anything out, score along all the dotted lines and cut out any holes with a craft knife. Both these jobs are easier to do on full sheets of card. Dashed lines are hill folds, dotted lines are valley folds. Cut along the solid lines. Grey areas show where to glue

The Key Inner gives the Key strength. Fold the four Key inner sections as shown to the right. The triangle section in the middle makes these shapes surprisingly strong.
9
Finish the Key Inner the glue it into place inside the Key Outer. Fold the Key Outer round and glue it together following the numbers on the parts.
10
Glue the Key Handle into place. The Key is now complete.
The Cylinder Lock is now complete. When no key is in place the Tumblers drop down so that they stick out of the Cylinder holes. This stops the Plug from rotating. Insert the Key and the two Tumblers are lifted so that the they are lined up within the Plug. The Plug is now free to rotate within the Cylinder. The Cylinder Lock is unlocked!
