Mark Time two beats, Special Right Turn and continue as detailed.
SPECIAL RIGHT TURN: Left Beat: The pivot 90 to the Right is executed on the heel of the Right heel and the ball of the Left foot, raising the Right toe sufficiently to just clear the ground, and the Left heel to do so, and keeping the weight of the body on the Right foot. On the completion of this first movement, the Right foot will be flat on the ground with the weight of the body on it, Left heel raised. Both feet will be in their own line of march. Right Beat: The rear foot will be raised directly to the Mark Time position. Left Beat: The Left foot will be lowered to the Stationary Position. Right Beat: Pause one beat. Note: The body will remain in the Attention position throughout the turn. Rank A: March one Sidepace to the Left, Pause two beats, Pivot Turn Left, Pause one beat, March eight High Kick Steps in Slow Time and continue as detailed. March four paces, March one Sidepace to the Left, Pause two beats, Pivot Turn Left, Pause one beat, March six High Kick Steps in Slow Time and continue as detailed. March eight paces, March one Sidepace to the Left, Pause two beats, Pivot Turn Left, Pause one beat, March four High Kick Steps in Slow Time and continue as detailed.

Rank C:
PIVOT TURN LEFT: Left Beat: Commencing from the Stationary position, pivot the required angle to the Left on the ball of the Right foot, at the same time carry the Left foot alongside the Right foot, toes in line, legs naturally straight. The Left foot will be carried backward just clear of the ground, to be placed flat on the ground in the Stationary position at the completion of the turn.

SIDEPACING TO THE LEFT FROM THE STATIONARY POSITION: Left Beat: The Left foot will be carried directly to the Left with the leg being bent sufficiently (if necessary) for the foot to just clear the ground. The foot will be placed ball/heel on the ground at the required length of pace. Right Beat: The Right foot will be brought across to be placed flat in the Stationary Position with the knee being bent sufficiently (if necessary) to allow the foot to just clear the ground. NOTE: The actions of the feet will be executed in a smooth manner on the successive beats of music. The body weight will be evenly distributed throughout the movement - ie. shoulders will be centred between both feet as the ball/heel contacts the ground on the first step across and will be centred over both feet at the completion of the second action. The length of the sidepace shall be 75cm.
STEPPING INTO A SIDEPACE FROM THE MARCH: Left Beat: The Left foot will be brought forward as in a normal marching pace to the toes in line position at which time the Left foot will change direction without exaggeration and step to the Left side as detailed above. The arms will swing to the Attention Position in conjunction with the traveling foot reaching the toes in line position. HIGH KICK STEPS in SLOW TIME: ARMS: The arms will remain at the Attention position throughout the High Kick March in Slow Time. LEGS: The Left leg naturally straight, will swing forward from the hip joint directly forward until the heel is at least 50cm above the ground in a Beat 1: stylish Goose Step. As the foot in flight passes any alignment of the stationary foot, the leg/foot angle will extend so that the foot appears fully stretched at the High Kick position with the toes stretched downward. Beat 2: As the Left leg naturally straight swings down from the required height following the Lines of Force, the rear heel will progressively raise to carry the body weight evenly forward. The ball of the foot in flight will contact the ground in a controlled manner, in line of march and ahead of the heel. The weight will continue to move forward over the sole of the supporting foot as the heel rolls down on the emphasis of the Right beat at the completion of the High Kick pace. Beats 3 / 4: The Right leg will repeat the action of the Left leg. Note: The leg will swing to a minimum height of 50cm and will appear to be uniform throughout the squad. The lowering of the heel after the ball of the foot makes contact with the ground will be controlled and the complete action will be smooth and without exaggeration. The length of pace for the High Kick March in Slow Time will be one half pace 37.5cm.

Mark Time two beats, March eight shortened paces (arms at sides) to wheel 180 Right (radius two paces), March two paces, About Turn and continue as detailed.
SHORTENED PACE: Action: The rear foot will travel forward in the same manner as in a marching pace to midswing. The angle of the foot and the bend of the knee will progressively develop as the foot travels forward from midswing (toes in line) and will be relative to the pace taken. The progression of the angle of the foot will peak at the extreme end of the pace and will be relative to the length of pace being taken. The angle will determine whether the toe or ball contact the ground first, prior to the heel being lowered smoothly on the emphasis of the beat of music. The speed will be relative to the length of pace being taken. When wheeling, the foot in flight phase will follow the specified arc. The shoulders will travel forward at half the speed of the foot in flight. Timing: The speed of the traveling foot will be regulated to allow the toe/ball to contact the ground fractionally before the emphasis of the beat. The timing of the toe/ball contact will be uniform throughout the team. ABOUT TURN: Left Beat: Foot Front No.4 Position The length of the shortened pace will be approximately 59cm.
The left foot will carried forward to be placed in the Foot Front No.4 Position, with the ball of foot on ground, heel raised. The Left foot, pointing to the front, will be about 30cm ahead and sufficiently to the Right of the Right foot, to be in correct line of march when turned 180. The distance will be measured from toe to toe. The body weight will be balanced over the front of the Right foot.

Right Beat:
Progressively raise both heels to pivot the body 180 to the right. The heel height will be equal at about the half way mark, from which point the angle of the right foot will progressively decrease whilst the angle of the left foot will continue to develop. The body weight will be balanced over the right foot at the completion of the turn about. Both feet will be in their own line of march, legs will be stretched. The left foot will be brought forward to the stationary position and the right foot will be raised to the mark time position. There will be a slight hesitation in the raised position prior to smartly lowering the right foot to the stationary position.

SPECIAL SLOW MARCH: Swing The rear leg swinging fully from the hip will thrust the foot forward to the Foot Front position where a static pose will be adopted to take up the Phase: remainder of the beat. (Right Beat) The length of hesitation necessary to achieve this would be a little less than half a beat. The foot as it commences its flight will develop the selected angle. Feet in line of march, back leg vertical, weight balanced over the Foot Front Position: grounded foot. The free leg will be naturally straight, with the foot held at the selected angle position, suspended just clear of the ground. The foot will be about half a slow march pace in advance of the other foot. The distance will be measured from toe to toe. Steadiness and posture will be maintained. Contact The back heel is raised and the body will rise up on the front of the ball of the foot sufficiently to move the weight forward to the extended Phase: position (upper body midway between the two ankles). (Left Beat) At the same time, the pace is completed by gliding the leading foot forward. The timing of the foot over the ground will be proportionately slower than the rate of slow march (the foot is only traveling about half a pace). The ball of the foot makes contact with the ground at the extreme end of the pace. The heel will strike the ground on the emphasis of the Left beat Before beginning the next contact phase, the weight of the body is transferred onto the leading foot and the rear foot is thrust forward at the commencement of the right beat to the Foot Front static position. The knee of the traveling leg may relax if necessary for the foot to just clear the ground. The length of the Special Slow March pace will be 67.50cm.

The Team will be in a FREE CHOICE FORMATION at two pace or two by two pace intervals. At Start of the movement, the Team will be facing the Front Boundary. ALL MEMBERS: March three paces, Action Halt, Pause two beats, To Compliments in three beats, Pause one beat and commencing with the Right foot, Slow March eight paces, Action Halt, Pause two beats.
Timing:
The legs will swing naturally from the hip joint in a smooth even speed, each leg as it leaves the ground being bent sufficiently at the knee to enable the toe to just clear the ground. The foot will be carried to the front and directed to the line of march, and will be at an angle to the ground (angle taken along the sole of the footwear, excluding the heel). The leg commences to progressively straighten as the traveling foot reaches any alignment of the stationary foot and will be naturally straight at about one half a slow march pace in advance of the stationary foot. Without hesitation and in one continuous movement the pace, will be completed by gliding the leading foot forward. The toe/ball will make contact with the ground at the extreme end of the pace and will be placed on the ground with the heel just clear of it. The heel will be lowered smoothly without over-accentuated action to take the weight of the body coming forward in the next pace. The body weight will transfer smoothly and evenly from foot to foot and at the extended position the shoulders will appear to be centred. 4WS will be maintained throughout the Slow March. The length of pace will be 67.5cm. The heel will be lowered smoothly on the emphasis of the beat,
COMPLIMENTS: (Prior to Slow March) Left / Right / The Right hand will be brought as close to the head as the headwear Left Beats: will allow, palm to the front, fingers extended together, point of the forefinger about 3cm above the Right eye or on to the leading edge of peaked headwear in front of the Right eye. The thumb will be alongside the fore-finger and the elbow will be in line and square with the shoulder alignment. Tips of the fingers, wrist and elbow as near as possible in a straight line. This will be achieved by raising the opening hand, knuckles facing upwards, with a straight arm in a circular motion, so that the elbow remains in line with the shoulder alignment and when the arm is about parallel to the ground, turn the palm to the front, flex the arm sufficiently to achieve the hand position. At Completion of Slow March: (Right Hand to Attention Position) LT BT The Right arm will fold down by the shortest route, at the same time Pause closing the hand to arrive at the Position of Attention.

PIVOT MARK TIME: Action: The pivot marcher will bend the knee relative to the angle required, and lift the toe just clear of the ground, toes in line. The lifting and placement of the feet will allow the pivot to turn evenly through the required degree of the turn. When turning to the Left, the Left foot will be placed on the same spot with the Right foot being placed around a very small arc (toes approximately in line). Timing: The pivot will synchronise the maximum lift of the heel with the action of the other marchers executing shortened paces. The greater the angle, the higher the heel, the faster it must drop without exaggeration, force or over-bracing the knee, on the emphasis of the beat. The movement of the lift and drop shall be relatively smooth. There will be a transference of weight but no heel hesitation. SHORTENED PACE: Action: The rear foot will travel forward in the same manner as in a marching pace to midswing.
