PUBLIC NOTICE

Consistent with Connecticut General Statutes Section 12-110 the City of Bridgeport Board of Assessment Appeals (BAA) will meet Tuesday, September 25, 2012 in Room 510(top floor) of The Eisenhower Center, 263 Golden Hill Street, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to hear appeals related to the assessment of motor vehicles on the Grand List of October 1, 2011. The application period is from August 22, 2012 through September 18, 2012. Hearings are conducted on a first-come, first- served basis. Appeals must be made by written application consistent with Connecticut General Statutes Section 12-111. Failure to file in timely and complete manner in accordance with Connecticut General Statutes 12-111 will preclude your right of appeal since the BAA will be deprived of jurisdiction to make determination concerning value, status or other issues of your concern. BAA applications may be obtained directly at the Tax Assessors Office, Room 105, Bridgeport City Hall, 45 Lyon Terrace, or may be downloaded from the Tax Assessors Web Page of the City of Bridgeport Website. It is strongly recommended that you return BAA applications in person directly to the Tax Assessors Office to receive date stamp.
