Spiritual Emphasis

August 26 - November 18

CORE is a 12-week, intentional focus on the central, foundational tenets of the Christian faith. Exploring everything from the nature of God to eternity and the return of Jesus (and everything in between), CORE will not only deepen your Christian convictions but also ignite a stronger passion for discipling and mentoring others in how to follow Jesus. As part of this series, you can participate and engage on several levels: GROUP IT: with your Life Group or others you know who may be interested, meet weekly in groups no bigger than 3-4 people (or 2 couples) to discuss, process, and practice using our Group Discussion material. PERSONALIZE IT: personally go deeper by walking through 4-5 personal devotionals each week (20-30 minutes in length each). These devotionals are designed not only to get you into the Word but also to help you to apply and practice what the Word teaches. SHARE IT: catch the vision for taking others through an intentional process of discipleship. Whether its a family member, a coworker, a close friend, or someone you just met, you now have the resources needed to help another person learn how to follow Jesus and become rooted in their faith. All materials are available online at www.beltway.org/core or in limited print at both Park Connections (north foyer) and the Learning Center (south foyer).

Life Groups

What is a Life Group?

Real life change rarely occurs in isolation. Thats why at Beltway you hear a lot about getting together in small groups. Gathering literally all over Abilene and the Big County, people from every stage of life meet in homes to follow Jesus more closely. You might not think that engaging truth or ministering to one another could be so informal yet be so intensely rewarding. Simple. Spiritual. Encouraging. Life Transforming. To learn more about our Life Group ministry, search online at beltway.org/lifegroups, or speak to one of our Life Group pastors.

Outreach & Missions

Beltway Park is dedicated to presenting Jesus Christ personally to this generation, to mobilizing as many as possible to help in this task, and to the training and equipping of believers for their part in fulfilling the Great Commission. As citizens of Gods kingdom, we are called to love, worship, and obey our Lord, to love and serve His body, the church, and to present the whole gospel for the whole person throughout the whole world. Beltway Park provides various ways for you to be the hands and feet of Jesus to this generation through local outreach and short term mission trips around the world.

School of Missions

School of Missions is the umbrella ministry for all short-term mission teams endeavoring to share the heart of Beltway Park to partner with local churches in the Nations of the earth. The emphasis of the school is team preparation, understanding cross-cultural ministry and service to the local churches we partner with. The School fosters unity of purpose between all of the teams being sent out from Beltway Park. During the year the School of Missions will provide four sessions for mission teams to worship and pray together, and hear a short teaching on various pertinent topics. Participation in these sessions is for all team members. We encourage everyone to experience the hands-on ministry of sharing Jesus through a short-term mission trip. Whether using a puppet, hammer, stethoscope, playing baseball or engaging in oneon-one evangelism, youll have the opportunity to reach the lost and brokenhearted. All 2013 Mission Trips will be announced at the Impact Missions Conference, October 14 16. (See Special Events section.)
