Big Credit to Comet. Changed with no fuss, after 3 members of staff having a look through the settings. Lets hope the replaced one works ok.....

Just to make sure you are using the right keys, 1. Repeat is the one without the symbol on it. 2. Fast Forward is >> and not >| 3. Up, Down and right are the ^ and V and > arrow keys

Guys, it worked for me. I'd never kid about something like this. I wish it worked for you. I'm in India and got this recently. Not sure if what you get in your country has a different firmware. How do I check what firmware I have?

I've upgraded my firmware as described here : Samsung DVD H1080 - firmware upgrade??? And then I tried the code again but........No success again. Well, I don't know what to do now, maybe it is really impossible.

i recently found a code that works for region 2 of the samsung h1080 which goes like this repeat fast rewind next chapter fast forward previous chapter play and you should get a grid with numbers show some highlighted and some not, unhighlighting all the numbers seems to have let me play region 1 but now doesn't play region 2 :P so if anyone else tries this could they let me know what their default numbers highlighted were please

The grid appeared for me, with just 1 and 4 highlighted. I would like to play region 4, does anyone know the sequence for this ? I will try to insert a sequence that seems to be standard for other samsung models, and then I came back to you. Thanks

Hello Guys

I just bought a H1080 and am looking to modify the region so i can play my daughter's region 2 DVDs and our more recent Region 2 DVDs - basically I am looking to acquire and watch the Region 1 series 6 of King of the Hill !! I tried the code sequence left by Nimbus 03, which does indeed bring up a some kind of selection menu. The defaults I found on my R2 machine were 2,7,9,10,19,21. I tried entering 1 as well, but it wouldn't play R1 upon test. I then tried highlighting them all - that enabled the playing of R1 but disabled the playing of R2 - so no good ! However, I had noted the default settings, so re instating them leaves me back to R2 as begun. So thanks to Nimbus for mentioning this !! However, I think the picture settings get re set each time the Region gets tweaked... There must be a combination of selected numbers to enbable a Region Free machine ?? But what could it be ?? Lovers of Dan browne novels may be in their element here, but I'm a little short of ideas - anyone else got any theories on this ? Would the sequence be random, or might it follow some kind of pattern ? Together, we will beat this dreadfull afllication.....

Hi everyone, Could anyone who was able unlocked it share the sequence that appears in your DVD player (after pressing the commands bellow) for us to test it in ours ?

Nimbus 3 has the correct remote control steps to get the input screen. The R2 default boxes selected on my box were; 2,7,9,10,19,21. Selecting every box left the box in R1. Restoring the above numbers left the box as per delivered.
