Community Health services rendered by the hospital are listed below: Dialysis For patients afflicted with Medical Renal disease (Dialysis), the cost of treatment is a daunting factor. Far from being a onetime medical expense, dialysis patients have to undergo treatment lifelong. On one hand they live a painful life & on the other hand they are deprived of their livelihood due to their precarious health condition. Total Dialysis done 8500 yearly

Eye Camps in the Rural & Tribal areas of Thane Eye camps are conducted thrice a week in rural and tribal areas of Thane district. We are focusing on eradication of needless blindness from rural areas of Thane district. Cataract is a major cause of blindness in rural Thane. In the year 2010-11, we screened over 30000 villagers from Thane and performed about 3500+ free Cataract Surgeries. Surgery - The villagers detected with Cataract during the Camps are brought to Bhaktivedanta Hospital for surgeries. The surgeries, transportation(from village to hospital and back), boarding for 2 days at our hospital, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks are provided free of cost to the villagers.

General Medical Health check up camps in the rural and tribal areas of Thane Health camps are conducted frequently in rural areas of Thane district. Thousands of patients have been screened and medicines distributed free of cost. Our Community Health Care centre is a boon for locals. Health Checkup of Municipal School Children in Thane In last 2 academic years, we screened over 12000 school children. The main objective was early diagnosis, treatment and creating health awareness amongst children. In the coming years, we intend to cover 15000 children. Senior Citizen Camps For senior citizens health camps are held weekly in Keshav Shrusthi, Morva Gaon in Bhayander and in interior villages of rural Thane. Besides screening and investigations, we also do free treatment by admitting them in our hospital. Besides these activities the Hospital was involved in relief activities during Tsunami and Gujarat Earthquake and the Hospital also does more than 1000 cataract surgeries at Barsana in the state of Uttar Pradesh annually.
