CHURCH WORKERS COVENANT Believing that the privilege of guiding people in the way of life is worthy of my best, I covenant

as a worker in the organizational life of First Baptist Church, to: 1. Order my conduct in keeping with the principles of the New Testament and seek the help of the Holy Spirit that I may be faithful and efficient in my work. 2. Attend every regular meeting of my Church and the organizations and committees in which I serve, unless providentially hindered. 3. Make thorough preparation for every responsibility that is mine in the church, participating in Church-wide programs of training as they relate to my responsibility. 4. Realize that I am a steward of everything that God has placed in my hands and under my influences and that I am held accountable unto God for my stewardship. 5. Do my best in every opportunity of witnessing for Christ to the unsaved, under the leadership of the Holy Spirit. 6. Cooperate wholeheartedly with the plans and activities of my Church. 7. Pray regularly for my Church, my Pastor and Staff, and all who have any responsibility of leadership. 8. Read and meditate each day upon some portion of Gods Word. With the help of God I will do my upmost to keep this Covenant. Paul NEW MEMBERS BY BAPTISM Nolan Lovering 1108 Morningside Dr BY LETTER Ryan Wade 126 Whispering Pines Dr

Bonus rehearsals are scheduled on Sunday afternoons for those unable to rehearse on Wednesday nights. See the schedule on the Choir Room wall board!

SHOCKWAVE
Thanks to those who shared testimonies/sermons, the drama and to SHOCKWAVE for leading us in worship last Sunday evening. It was an awesome time and everyone was stirred to be the Christian that God has called us to be. If you are a teenager, we want you in SHOCKWAVE. SHOCKWAVE meets in the Choir Room on Sundays at 5:30 PM

SAINTS ALIVE
Due to the Labor Day holiday tomorrow, we will not be having Saints Alive this week. But, join us next Monday. The music is great for this years festival. Weve started our work, but its not too late to get on board. Mark your calendar to attend our annual trip to Toccoa, GA for the Senior Adult Choir Festival (October 29-30). We are now taking reservations for the Festival. Call Art in the office or signup Monday at 10:30 AM.

FELLOWSHIP CLUB MEETING

The Fellowship Club leadership team has met and the activities for the year are exciting. Our next meeting will be noon, Monday, September 10. Art

I want to start off and say how proud I am of our students. You guys did an awesome job on Sunday night. I also want to thank all of the ladies that give of their time to make Shockwave activities happen. It is obvious that God is using these ladies and the students that participate in Shockwave to Glorify Him. Lastly, I want to thank Avery and Mary Lynn White, Lewis and Clarene Jones, Virginia Smith, and Morrell Martin for providing the SNAC meal for the students. It takes a lot of people for Youth Led Service to take place and I appreciate your help in loving on our students. Once again I am ecstatic how God is moving throughout these ministries. Our students are reaching outside of these walls and bringing new students in each week. They are understanding that we must put to action what we are learning. Continue to pray for the students to be BOLD and share their faith with the lost. Pray that as we grow, we continue to stay focused on the things of God. Pray that as a ministry we only seek what he wants us to be a part of. Pray for all of us that take leadership within these ministries to make the right decisions to exemplify CHRIST through everything we say, everything we do, and everything we dont do. NOTE: We are hosting the first 5th Quarter on Friday. Anyone interested in donating food please see me. We need: Hotdogs, hotdog buns, chips, dip, brownies and cookies. We are estimating 150ish.
