ABOUT ORGANIZATION Hindustan Aeronautics Limited:

Hindustan Aircraft Company , the vision of Seth Walchand Hirachand started in 1941, the first order being the assembly of 30 Harlow trainers ,75 Hawk fighters and 74 vultee attack bombers by the Government of India to boost its war efforts. Later on in 1964, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited was formed by the merger of three companies. Presently it has 13 production divisions and 9 Research and Development centres in various parts of the country. It has designed and manufactured a large number of aircraft. The major projects at hand are Advanced Light Helicopter [ALH], Light Compact Aircraft, Lancer Attack Helicopter and intermediate Jet trainer. Besides these HAL is famous for its powerplant production and servicing which includes engines like Artouste 3B Engine, Gas Avon engine, Shakthi Engine, Rolls Royce Engine...etc. Well in this report ,it is all about JAGUAR DARIN -3 aircraft developed by HAL where we have worked and studied , which was a wonderful experience that we had in JAGUAR DARIN -3 hangar dept no:2374 D at the Overhaul Division . The training was scheduled from 7:00 am to 3:00pm. During these timing we really enjoyed and done a relevant study regarding the jaguar Darin-3 aircraft

STUDY OF UPGRADED JAGUAR DARIN-3 AIRCRAFT

The jaguar aircraft is one of the best fighter aircraft which is used especially a deep penetration fighter aircraft .The aircraft is powered by two Rolls Royce Turbomeca engines - ADOUR MK -811 and ADOUR MK-804. The

aircraft is going to upgrade with Display Attack Ranging and Inertial Navigation system which is termed as the DARIN. The facilities in the DARIN includes the displays which indicates the aircraft present position , Direct Track, Planned Track, Actual Track, Destination position , Heading .etc. This can store and carry out navigation up to 32 way points and 32 associated offsets which in turn provides steering and navigation information position and baro- inertial elevation Various subsystems of DARIN are given below: 1. Mission computer 2. Inertial Navigation Global Positioning System (INGPS) 3. Digital Head up Display 4. Smart multifunction Display 5. Data transfer system 6. Fire Control Radar 7. Solid state Video Recording System. The engine of the Jaguar Darin -3 aircraft is having well sophisticated hydraulic pumps & AC generators that helps in the driving of compressed air.Each pilot is having a rocket assisited ejection seat in a sealed pressurized cockpit. The flying controls are hydraulically operated by duplicated units and there is no manual reversion.Hydraulic power is also used in the operation of landing gear.Fuel transfer is automatically and arranged to maintain the CG within the limits. Air condioning and pressurization system uses air tapped from the engine compressors, but ram air can be selected if ventilation alone is required.
