Taught a self-contained class, generating differentiated lesson plans for students with multiple low-incident disabilities. Planned and Implemented rigorous curriculum, based on the North Carolina Extended Content Standards, resulting in an average of 93% of students passing the state end-of-grade Extend I Reading assessment and 73% of students passing the state end-of-grade Extend I Math assessment. Wrote and maintained each students IEP and all other related paperwork. Planned and co-facilitated county-wide, monthly professional development workshops for 10 low-incident. Wrote proposals that successfully secured over $750 of funding to purchase curriculum and enrichment resources. Named the 2010-11 Eaton-Johnson Teacher of the Year.
