URBAN LEAGUE OF SAN DIEGO COUNTY URBAN LEADERS UNDER 40 OVERVIEW

This years Annual Diversity Summit & Equal Opportunity Day Awards will include the Urban League of San Diego County Urban
Leader Under 40. The Urban Leader Under 40 program recognizes the very best and brightest young talent from all the different
segments of industry and the community from educators, engineers, attorneys and journalist, sponsors and partners, This years class
is expected to be an outstanding group of young men and women who are at the top of their game and who wield enormous influence
in within their communities and organizations.

Who is eligible?
Urban professionals working in the San Diego-Imperial-Southern
Riverside-Southern Orange Counties will be 40 or younger as of
October 18, 2012.
What are the criteria?
We are looking for a cross section of people from industries that
are connected to the Urban Leagues five point strategy areas we
cover
Education and Youth Empowerment,
Economic Empowerment,
Health and Quality of Life Empowerment,
Civic Engagement and Leadership Empowerment,
and
Civil Rights and Racial Justice Empowerment
who are proven leaders in their field. In addition, the young
professional must demonstrate leadership through active
participation in an organization or company in San Diego County;
Shows a commitment to the urban community and involved with
charitable causes; and can provide evidence that he or she has
positively influenced the urban community.
