Instructions: 1. All questions are compulsory. 2. Illustrate your answers with neat sketches wherever necessary 3. Figures to the right indicate full marks 4. Assume suitable data if necessary 5. Preferably, write the answers in sequential order. 6. Assume suitable data if necessary. Q.1 A) Attempt any THREE of the following: 12 Marks 1. Define specific weight and specific gravity of a liquid. Does the specific weight of a liquid affect the capillary rise of liquid? If yes how? 2. Draw a neat sketch of micro-manometer and label it. 3. Define steady & unsteady flow. Give its example. 4. With a neat Sketch explain Pitot tube. Q.1 B) Attempt any ONE of the following: 1. Explain with neat sketch Vane type air motor. 2. Explain construction and working of Poppet valve with neat sketch. Q.2 Attempt any FOUR of the following: 1. Explain vena-contracta with neat sketch. 2. Draw a neat sketch of Non return valve & explain it. 16 Marks 06 Marks

3. Why rotary compressor is suitable for Tubrocharger? 4. List different types of materials used for gaskets stating their applications. 5. State the principles on which pressure measuring devices are classified & classify the devices.

Q.3 Attempt any FOUR of the following: 16 Marks 1. Draw a neat labled sketch of meter-in circuit. 2. Draw a symbol for 2/2 direction control valve & variable speed air motor. 3. Draw a neat sketch of rotary spool valve used in power steering. 4. Explain with neat sketch pneumatic speed control circuit. 5. Give the classification of filters & state their applications.
