e 2012 le mardi 4 septembre, plus de 1 000 tudiants de luniversit dOttawa participeront dans la campagne de financement Shinerama, organise par la fdration tudiante de luniversit dOttawa. Cette campagne a comme objectif de trouver un remde pour la Fibrose Kystique, la maladie gntique mortelle la plus rpandue chez les enfants et jeunes adultes canadiens. Lanne dernire, les tudiants de luniversit dOttawa ont prlev plus de 60 000 $ pour la campagne, et esprent en recueillir encore plus cette anne. Aprs une longue journe de prlvement de fonds travers la ville dOttawa, les tudiants se runiront sur la terrasse du pavillon Tabaret 17h30 pour une crmonie, pendant laquelle le maire de la ville, Jim Watson, ainsi quAllan Rock, le recteur de luniversit dOttawa donneront un bref discours. La journe Shinerama est une tradition au sein de la communaut, qui runit les tudiants de tous ges affirme Jozef Spiteri, vice-prsident aux affaires sociales pour la fdration tudiante de luniversit dOttawa. Chaque anne, nous accueillons Allie MacIsaac qui souffre de la fibrose kystique, afin quelle partage quelques mots avec nous la crmonie Shinerama; elle inspire les tudiants continuer de simpliquer dans la campagne, afin quun jour, nous puissions enfin trouver un remde cette maladie. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: University of Ottawa students Shine to Fight Cystic Fibrosis OTTAWA, ON, September 3rd 2012 On Tuesday September 4th, over 1000 students will participate in the Student Federation of the University of Ottawas annual Shine Day, in an effort to raise money to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis, the most common fatal genetic disease affecting Canadian children and young adults. Last year, students at the university of Ottawa raised over 60 000$ for the Shinerama campaign. Students are hoping to raise even more money for the cause this year. After a full day of fund raising throughout the city of Ottawa, students will gather on Tabaret lawn at 5:30pm to end the day with Shine ceremonies, which will include speeches from Jim Watson, the city of Ottawas mayor, and Allan Rock, the president of the University of Ottawa. Shine Day is an ongoing tradition in our community that brings new students and older students together said Jozef Spiteri, Vice President Social for the Student Federation of the University of Ottawa. Every year, we greet Allie MacIsaac to come speak at our Shine Ceremony; she inspires the students to continue raising money, which will bring us one step closer to a cure.
