Informational Meeting | Sunday, January 18, Noon
By Tammy Claiborne
MISSION TRIP… The church body serving together for the purpose of
glorifying God and making Him known to others… MISSION TRIP… Whose
responsibility is it to ‘GO’ & where? …MISSION TRIP… Why should I go?
…MISSION TRIP… these are just a few questions that we must ask ourselves as
believers in Jesus Christ.
Regardless of our age or season of life, God desires for us to deepen our
relationship with Him. I believe God often does this through the opportunities
of life that move us out of our comfort zones and stretch us in our faith as we
are forced to release our independence and focus on our personal dependence on
Mexico Team God. Short-term missions is one way that God has challenged our family to
2007 step out in faith and serve Him.
You are invited to come to an informational meeting in the Backdoor
(SW corner of the building) today immediately following the 10:45am
services to hear about a short-term mission opportunity to Monterrey,
Mexico, June 19–28, 2009.
We will be partnering with TIME Ministries and the local church
to share the love of Jesus through various evangelism opportunities,
including building projects, park ministry and visits to a children’s
home.
Anyone age 14 to 104 is eligible, ages 10-13 with a parent.
Parents are strongly encouraged to attend. This is a great time
to get the information first-hand…you may even decide to come
along! My family and I can personally attest to the overwhelming
blessing it is to participate in short-term missions as a family. God
has used opportunities like this to challenge us, grow us up in Him
and draw us closer to one another.
Would you be willing to ask God if and how He desires for you
to participate in short-term missions?
A light lunch will be served.
