Dear Girls,

Can you believe it, but here we are again, the last newsletter for the year 2012. It has been a difficult year for a lot of us, but we got through it and hopefully the New Year will be a good one for all. Thank you again for all the support you have shown us, we have had a lot of fun both in the shop and in the classes and a lot of outstanding work has been produced. Now for the next terms programme, and again, we hope that there will be something for everyone. For girls who dont know what Lizs Club entails, it is open for all brands of Sewing Machines. The cost is $55.00 per year which entitles you to 10 free 3 hour classes, held on the first Tuesday of each month. There is a kit fee, class is free. In the class you will learn new techniques and more about your machine as well as making friends with like minded girls.

PLEASE NOTE TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT All classes to be booked and paid for at least one week in advance so that kits can be prepared. We have to become tough with this rule as it takes a long time to prepare kits and then if you dont show after booking we are left with kits that go to waste which costs time and fabric. WE ARE SORRY BUT THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE FOR ALL CLASSES. Please have all your sewing accessories labelled otherwise if you leave something behind we do not know to whom it belongs.

Time 4.30pm 6.30 pm Cost for 2hrs $15.00 In the Teens classes the girls learn dressmaking from cutting out patterns to completing the garment. Classes are limited to six in a class.

Time 10.00am 3.00pm Cost Class & kit $55.00. Kate from Babylock will be here to show you how accessories for your overlocker can save you time and give a beautiful finish to your sewing, you will use all the accessories that are available for your Babylock overlockers as this is a hands on class. Please bring your overlocker in good working condition, all your accessories and a small range of threads to play with also please have everything tagged so if left behind we can identify it. If you do not have accessories we will have a few for you to try. There will be a 15% discount on the day for any purchases. Booking is essential as class is limited.

Time 2.00pm - 4.00pm Time 7.00m - 9.00pm Cost Class and notes $35.00 Today Letitia will teach us how to turn a design into cutwork to sew out with cutwork needles. You must have 5D Extra and 5D Enhancer, bring your laptop and dongle, and let us create.

Since the embroidery machines have come on the market we rarely use the stitches on the sewing machine, or if you dont have an embroidery machine then this is the class for you to get to use your stitches.
