HOPE CHURCH, DRGNETI-OLT

In June we had a busy month , full of activities that required effort and concentration. During this month we have been visited by brother Randy from America and a teenager team . Their mission focused on children ministry, the construction of the church building in Comani and street evangelism. Over 100 children have been served during the children programs. These activities were part of the church vision that in 5 years we will run 25 children clubs. The team has also organized few evangelical events for young adults like: concert and sport activities. Joining the local missionary team the teenagers have spread the Word of God in 3 villages from Corabia area : Visina, Tudor Vladimirescu, and Vartop. Pray for all those people that in a way or in another have heard the Gospel. This month in Comani has also come a group of brothers , part of the the Baptist Hope Church from Sibiu and from Cristian town. During the worship service on 17th of June have joined us over 80 people and many of them have heard the Gospel for the fist time. Pray that those who have heard the Gospel will get to know the Lord. This month we have also received the visit of 3 sisters from England that came in Comani and served the Lord in children ministry and have also visited poor families to whom they offered food. One of those sisters from England was a missionary for 42 years in Ivory Coast , West Africa and she organized a meeting for missionaries and church leaders which was an encouraging for all of us. On the other hand, sister Darvell Florina, has started a ministry with Bible study and prayer for women in Comani. This month we have also received the visit of pastor John Witt from England who had the chance to know the missionary team and he also served the local churches from Stoenesti, Draganesti, Perieti through preaching the Word of God. In June few of the children from Comani have been in a Christian camp organized by the Baptist Church Manastur from Cluj Napoca. Pray that those children will receive Christ as their personal Savior.

One of the girls from the World Race came back in Olt to serve the Lord for 3 more months. She is searching to find the will of God for her life. During this time she is helping the children ministry , teenagers ministry and she is also teaching English or taking part in different activities. In the same situation is also another young man that has recently finished the mission school and for about one week he is in Stoenesti. He is praying to find out if is Gods will to come back here and serve the Lord in this area. This month few missionaries have participated in a mission conference organized by Baptist Churches from Sibiu. During the mission conference missionaries have shared their testimonies and their difficulties. We are glad to see how brothers and sisters from this place and not only are dedicated to the church mission to spread the Bible values by building relationships with unbelievers. Therefore, this month we have organized informal departures in the area around us ( Slatina, Craiova) having the purpose to share Christ in our relations .
