Introduction to casting, Application of metal casting process, Material for casting processes Casting Terms ( Moulding Flask, Parting Line, Bottom board, Pattern, core, core prints, chills, Elements of Gating system) Basic steps in casting process ( pattern making, core making, mould making, melting and pouring, solidification and mould breaking, cleaning and finishing) Pattern Allowances, Types of pattern Welding : Definition, classification ( Fusion Welding, Solid state welding ) Types of welding joints ( lap, but, edge, .
