Worldwide scientific research has proven that achieving proper implant surface is the key to reaching optimal Osseointegration. It has been well documented that surface characteristics of implanted materials highly influence the healing and growth of tissues adjacent to the implant surface. Alpha-Bio Tec implants are made of Ti-6Al-4V ELI Titanium alloy. It is an extremely strong, durable and highly biocompatible material. Years of intense research and development lead Alpha-Bio Tec to develop the superior NanoTecTM implant surface for optimized osseointegration. Alpha-Bio Tec's NanoTecTM implant surface is achieved by a complex process of large particle sandblasting and acid etching. This unique process creates a high surface area differentiation, pointing to a high increase in the three dimensional (3D) surface area, thus enabling a more intense absorption of blood and plasma proteins directly into the implants micropores immediately after the implant is placed. The micro - structure and roughness properties of the implant surface created by the sandblasting and acid etching process, greatly influences the dynamic wettability of implant surfaces during the initial contact with the host. State of the art surface treatment technologies in the Alpha-Bio Tec new manufacturing facilities ensure unified surface treatment application and precision. Clinical research data shows that Alpha-Bio Tec's implants achieve an overall clinical success rate of 98.3% and a 99.6% success rate when using the immediate loading procedure. NanoTecTM implant surface process advantages:

Increased early BIC (bone to implant contact) Increased primary and secondary stability Shortened healing period Accelerated and improved Osseointegration process Higher predictability

Use the normal transfer for impression, followed by a wide platform implant analog as well as a wide platform abutment. It is possible to use the normal platform abutments for all implants, including 5 mmd and 6 mmd implants. See page 40.

Tip
In order to ensure use of the same angle abutment (TLA 0, TLA 15, TLA 25) for the rehabilitation make sure to record the angle of the Paraguide Abutment used for each implant. In the case of a single abutment insert the Paraguide and rotate it to the angle which orients it to adjacent teeth.
Protocol
The implant is placed at the alveolar crest level. Insert the specific Paraguide (0, 15, 25) into the implant. Screw the implant into the bone with the help of the Paraguide Abutment and the rotation tool (RT), until the Paraguide Abutment is parallel to other abutments.

Implant Impression Transfer
Implant impression transfer is suitable for all implant diameters (3.3, 3.75, 4.2, 5, 6 mmd). In 5 and 6 mmd implants, a small bevel will be left, which leaves more gingival surface for better blood supply to the adjacent bone (platform shifting). Closed Tray Transfer
