Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Kashmere Gate, Delhi-110 006

After the Coordination Committee meeting, undersigned had discussion with Dean (USET), GGSIP University. She was also of the view that the terminal tests need to be finished in 3 days as it is mandatory for the University to have 90 working days per semester, which otherwise may not be possible. In order to meet these stipulations, some departures from previous practices need to be implemented. 1 Every student will appear in two regular tests in a day. 2. Students who have failed in the earlier semesters and secured less than 50% in the internal assessment can improve their internal assessment marks by appearing in the scheduled Term Tests for regular students. In past, the reappear paper used to be held separately at 2 pm onwards. Now they need to reappear along with regular students of the class. Henceforth, a separate reappear paper need not be set and exam conducted except in cases below. 3 Without exception regular student of 7th semester will reappear along with regular students papers of 5th semester or first semester, and he/she cannot appear in any of the 3 rd semester papers. Similarly a regular student of 5th semester can appear in 3rd semester papers and he/she cannot appear in any of the first semester papers. In all such cases, where the students can not appear as per the date sheet, he should apply to the Principal/Director/Dean (Academic) of the institute explaining the difficulties faced/opportunities being missed. The institute can arrange for their special examination in the week Sept. 17-21. For all such cases, the relevant question papers can be set in the institute itself. 4 All the examinations will be of 30 marks as the earlier pattern and of 1 hour duration. The paper setter must ensure to set the paper for 1 hour duration in place of earlier practice of 1 1/2 hours duration. 5 There will be four sessions motioned below:First & Fifth Semesters Session 1 10.00 to 11.00 am Session 2 Third & Seventh Semester Session 1 Session 2 1.30 to 2.30 pm 11.30 to 12.30 pm 3.00 to 4.00 pm.

It may be noted that at seventh semester level, all Elective titles need to be indicated by the institutes themselves. Draft Date Sheet for First Term Examination is enclosed for amendment/ changes/suggestions, if any, thereof and the same may kindly be intimated by 28.8.2012 at 11.00 A.M. positively so that the same may be finalized and communicated to all concerned.
