10 Commandments of God Catholic Version 1.

I am the Lord your God; you shall not have strange gods before me. 2. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain. 3. Remember to keep holy the Lord's day 4. Honor your father and your mother. 5. You shall not kill. 6. You shall not commit adultery. 7. You shall not steal. 8. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. 9. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife. 10. You shall not covet you neighbor's goods.

It protects the people from worshipping strange gods and going into the wrong di rection It prevents us from worshipping other gods It leads us to worship only God our savior 2. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain. It protects the name of the Lord It prevents us to say the name of the Lord like a curse (bad word) It leads us to be respectful to God holy name 3. Remember to keep holy the Lord's day It protects the Lord day to be holy and clean It prevents us from doing wrong in the Lord day It leads us to do the right thing and to be holy like God in his day 4. Honor your father and your mother. We should honor our father and mother because it protects us from getting in the wrong path of our life It prevents us to be disrespectful to our parents. We might hurt them emotionall y. It leads us to go into the path where our parents wants us to be because God wan ts us to be in the right way. 5. You shall not kill. It protects us from stealing other people life. It is a sin because that life is just borrowed from our savior Jesus Christ. It prevents us from being a bad person because killing someone is just like kill ing our savior Jesus Christ. It leads us to be more respectful to life especially other people life. 6. You shall not commit adultery. Protects us from having conflict and hurting our love ones. Prevents us to have an affair Leads us to be a faithful person 7. You shall not steal. Stealing is a sin and it says in the bible not to steal. It protects us from get ting what we want in life so easily. It prevents us to be a person that we dont want us to be. It lead us to be a hard worker and to earn and deserve what we have in life 8. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

 It protects the truth about God It prevents confusion to your neighbor It leads us to the truth and we can share the truth to our neighbor without conf usion 9. You shall not covet your neighbor s wife. It protects us from having issues with our wife It prevents us to have conflict with our love ones It leads us not to envy our neighbors wife because we should be content of our w ife 10. You shall not covet your neighbor s goods. It protects us from being greedy It prevents us to judge It leads us to be contents with our goods How will I go with the formation of virtues? The first way is to know and understand deeply the definitions of every commandm ent so that I could perform the right actions as I live my life. The second way is to elaborate the learnings of mine about the commandments of Go d and also take the risk to know more about his words and share to the people th at dont know God most especially to the people that dont want God in their lives.
