Therefore, the use of one of this ERP release is recommended. The SAP EWM rapid-deployment solution brings together software (the SAP EWM rapid-deployment) and services in a new offering that provides essential EWM functionality quickly and affordably, reduces risk, and puts customers on a predictable path to attain their EWM vision. It delivers preconfigured software to support essential sales, service, and marketing processes, together with corresponding implementation services. If the customers EWM needs are basic, SAP EWM rapiddeployment solution can provide a permanent solution to customer care requirements. If EWM needs are more extensive, the software can lay the foundation for an incremental evolution toward the comprehensive SAP EWM application suite. With the SAP Solution Manager Template, you can perform a predefined implementation project of SAP EWM core processes. Using the implementation content, delivered as part of the Template, you can implement and configure these essential sales, marketing, or service processes, which help companies manage their customer relationships. Following the implementation proposals as outlined in the Templates content, you will receive preconfigured, ready-to-use, core Sales, Service, or Marketing functionality, with out-of-the-box integration with your existing SAP ERP central component (SAP ECC) based, of course, on a previous customer-specific scoping exercise. Based on the companys requirements, you can select one of the above areas for the implementation project or a combination thereof (such as Sales and Marketing). Within an area (for example, Sales), you are free to choose what to implement and what not to implement on a process level (such as Opportunity Management, but not Lead Management). While the process scope of the Template is limited to certain core processes in Sales, Service, and Marketing, you are ultimately not restricted to this process scope, but can add additional EWM processes from the vast solution portfolio of SAP EWM at a later stage, that is, in a separate implementation project. The SAP EWM rapid-deployment edition is based on standard SAP EWM 7.0 and provides you with the advantage of a quick jump start deployment with a defined scope and minimized risk, while still leaving you the option to leverage the full capabilities of SAP EWM.
