Kelly Brown Text Set

I used The Teachings Resources Center in Joyner Library to locate my 4 books for my text set. The genres for my books were a variety between graphic biography, biography, fiction, and nonfiction. The first book: Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad is a graphic biography, the second book: The Last Safe House is fiction, the third book: Daily Life in a Southern Plantation 1853 is nonfiction, and the fourth book: An Apple for Harriet Tubman is a biography. Henrys Freedom Box was my literature circle book which was a story about slavery and the Underground Railroad. The books I chose for my text set involves stories about Harriet Tubman, who was a major face in the Underground Railroad. My other stories are about a day in the life of a slave on a plantation and other stories about the Underground Railroad which all tie really well with the book Henrys Freedom Box.
