Imagination: An Informative Speech Visual Aid: pen Hello ladies and gentlemen.

You may already know me, at least by reputation. You see, the names Bond. Steve Bond. Better known as double-o Suave. This. [Hold up Pen] Is my tool. You see, this isnt really a pen. Its actually a supercomputer. With this computer, I can hack any network in under a minute, if Im close enough to Actually, nevermind. Spies are lame. You know what? Im actually a doctor, and this pen is really a medical multitool that will allow me to perform all but the most intensive surgeries anywhere in the world. My job is to go into the most dangerous corners of the world and provide medical attention to the impoverished or repressed. I take my job very seriously bevause I designed this prototype myself and I believe that If I can get it to go mainstream,it can save millions of lives. Or maybe. Maybe Im not a super hero like that. Maybe I'm just a student at an underrated state university, and Im working on a research project that could reshape the face of modern society. My mind is fresh, untainted by the prejudices and presuppositions of the professional world, and Im ready to think out of the box to come up with some revolutionary concepts for gadgets in fields ranging from espionage to medicine. But this pen isnt my tool. My tool is up here [point to head]. My tool, arguably the most important tool in my arsenal, is my imagination. My imagination is what will drive my research into the unknown regions of my studies and help me think of new ideas to contribute to society. That's certainly what Albert Einstein thought at the height of his fame after World War I. According to an interview found in an archived volume of The Saturday Evening Post, one of the most well-known and lauded scientists in global history said "Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world." Imagination, not knowledge, not memorization, not good looks. Imagination encircles the world. Contemporary studies have discovered evidence that imagination is an essential component of the human brain. A study in 2006 by the U of Michigan and the French National Center for Scientific Research (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) even found that imagination is absolutely vital for predicting and therefore preventing such incidents as terrorist attacks. A study in 2011 by the U of California also found that the imagination serves as a vital component to mental health. So as you move on through your college careers, don't forget that we all have a powerful tool that canbturn this [hold up pen] into a powerful force for change.
