The Ice & Offshore Department can offer themes for Bachelor and Master Thesis within research projects dealing with the following issues

Dynamic positioning in ice Physical model testing regarding ice induced vibration of fixed offshore structures Determination of local ice loads on a model of a Baltic Sea lighthouse The influence of the climate change on the ice loads of floating offshore structures The effect of lateral ice pressure on the ship resistance and loads acting on floating offshore structures
