    Solar Turbines: Coolant Water System Rehabilitation


    Location: San Diego, California Situation:
    This customer, one of the worlds leading manufacturers of industrial gas turbines, experienced problems with the coolant pipes for a turbine testing unit. These 6" and 8" steel pipes would corrode when left in ambient conditions, then the corrosion would flake off into the turbines filter.

    Date Completed: 2006 Solution:


    Even though the coolant water pipes had 1,000 pounds of working psi, a single coat application of Nu Flows blownin epoxy coating was enough to protect the pipes. Nu Flow technicians completed the job without disrupting the busy facilitys normal operations.
