YOTTA, our Technical Symposium Organized by the Department of INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY every year and it has been a great success. There is never a chance that we will run out of things to explore as technology has advanced bounds. Taking that giant leap towards the evolving technology doesnt need all those called SPECIAL TALENTS, all you need to be is PASSIONATELY CURIOUS. We YOTTA12 Titians are driven crazy by curiosity. YOTTA refers to one of the highest powers of 10, as the Department of INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY.

Having ideas doesnt suffice .Presenting them is equally important. It is the province of knowledge to speak. Fill the gap between your thought process and technological advancements because people who are crazy enough to change the world are the ones who do it. Want to speak out what you have on mind? PROJECT PRESENTATION RULES:

Maximum 2 members per paper Participants should send their abstract precisely and clearly in IEEE format. The project can be on any innovative topic. Last date for project submission is 16-08-2012 Intimation will be given on or before 20-08-2012 Only the selected projects will be allowed to register on the day of symposium. Name(s) of the student(s) mentioned in the abstract only can present. Participants should bring their own laptops. Judges decision will be final. CODE VENTURE (C-DEBUGGING)

BUGS CANT LAST LONG BEFORE THE DEBUGGING GEEKS...

Are bugs in your code pestering you? Chase them out at CODE VENTURE and become the combatant of the day. For all the programming those geeks who talk/think and feed on C, this event is an opportunity to code them crazy. It will emphasize on predicting the output, shooing away the bugs and developing your own program.
GENERAL RULES:

Maximum of two members per team. Use of mobile phones, internet and other malpractices will lead to disqualification of the team. The event consists of three rounds. Elimination will be at the end of each round. Judges decision will be final.

PRELIMS:

Duration: 15 minutes. It consists of basic C questions. The questions are with multiple choices.

INTERMEDIATE:

FINAL:

Duration: 15 minutes. The various programs consisting of bugs have to be debugged by the participants within the stipulated time.

Duration: 30 minutes Code has to be generated based on the given situation.

WEB- ONWERP (Web development)

DIGITALISE YOUR INDIVIDUALITY

Design where the web is going...not where it is today... Are you web crazy and a leisure-time blogger? Then, make your designs speak at WEB-ONTWERP.
WEB DESIGNING RULES:

A team can have a maximum of 2 members. Individual systems with required softwares will be provided for the participants Decisions taken by judges and coordinators are final. No plug-ins must be used. Internet is allowed only for downloading pictures for website creation. Teams which use internet improperly will be disqualified. A preliminary test for 15 minutes will be conducted to go through the filtering process. Round 2: The participant is required to create his/her desired web application within 30 minutes.

TIMINGS:

Maximum duration of the final round will be 1 hour. This consists of web designing on given topic.

GAMBIT (GAMING):

Time limit: Minimum of 7 to a maximum 10 minutes.

MULTIMEDIA RULES:

2 Members for the team. Video should be brought by either CD or by pen drive. Abstract and the poster of the movie should be sent to the email id yotta12media@gmail.com Date of submission: September 16th and it will take 4 days for intimation. Video should be innovative or an animation. No plagiarism copy should be produced.

If found it will be DISQUALIFIED. Video should carry a message and a theme. KURM-FILMAS (Short film)
THE HUNT OF THE BESTEST YOUNG FILMMAKER

Hey all time techies, bring out the director in you.

SHORT FILM RULES:

*Mandatory- Actor/actress who played a lead role in the movie should come along with the team

The movie should not contain any explicit content. The duration of film should not exceed 15 minutes. The film could be of any zone. The movie should be in Tamil, if it is in some other Language then proper subtitle should to be given. The team may consist of up to 5 members. The movies should be uploaded in YouTube and the link should be sent to us at yotta12kurmfilmas@gmail.com along with an abstract with details such as the name of movie, actors and technicians, college name and contact number, email-id in a word document within [16.9.2012]. Intimation will be sent from [20.9.2012]. Best 10 films will be shortlisted and screened in the symposium event. Top 2 films Will be awarded with winner and runner prizes. The selected movies should be brought in either USB or CD/DVD. The movies failing to satisfy the above condition will be disqualified.
