The Peace Advocacy Component upholds that we are all made in the image and likeness of God and that our bodies are temples of Gods Spirit. This is strengthened by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights that recognition of the inherent dignity and of the equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family is the foundation of FREEDOM, JUSTICE AND PEACE. This is Gods Kingdom on earth as dreamt by Fr. Pops. The Foundation then strives to achieve this through peace education programs in the communities and by supporting the peoples efforts for peace.
In life, Fr. Pops has reached out and inspired a lot of people to get involved in his mission of serving the poorest of the poor. In death, he has reached and inspired even more. Young people who never knew him are studying his life and sacrifice. People from all over the world are reaching back and expressing their willingness to be part of his continuing mission. The Fr. Fausto Pops Tentorio Foundation, Inc, seeks to bring together all these people and give them a chance to know more about the martyr, his endeavors, and the people for whom he made the ultimate sacrifice. There are so many ways to become part of the mission: you can sponsor a child or a school or a medical mission or a farmers seminar or a community peace forum. Or you can volunteer your time and join us in our work in any of the four components: education, health, agriculture, and peace-building. If you want to know more about Fr. Pops and our projects or if you want to know how you can become a part of these, please contact us:
Ang imong pangandoy akong pangandoy; Ang imong pakigbisog akong pakigbisog; Ikaw ug ako usa ra sa pagpanday sa Gingharian sa Dios.
The Fr. Fausto Pops Tentorio Foundation, Incorporated envisions a society where justice and mercy prevails, especially for the poorest of the poor. Its mission is to journey with the poor with all humility, acknowledging that whatsoever we do to the least of our brethren, we do it unto Him. The Foundation is taking on the tasks that Fr. Pops has started and developed in the 33 years that he had journeyed with the rural poor of Mindanao: providing services in education, health, agricultural production, protection of the environment, and building multicultural communities where people enjoy mutual respect, justice, peace, and solidarity. The Foundation is composed of organizations and individuals who have worked closely with him and shared his dreams for the people. On January 7, 2012, his would-be 60th birthday, the members established the Foundation and expressed their commitment to continue and further develop these services.
