The quintessence Buddhas Teachings Dhammapada.

The Buddhism is a Teaching of the Buddha. Uncountable period and unlimited experience of life of the Buddha, call as a (paramita) perception. When the paramita or perception fulfill in ones life, then he can comprehends the Buddha hood. The comprehended the Buddha hood is a Buddhaana or wisdom of the Buddha. The Buddha presents one way of life to the members of the Holy Order and another to the laity. Above all, it expounds a unique path of Enlightenment. There are thirty-one books which comprise in the Tipitaka, the three baskets which contain the quintessence of the Buddhas Teachings. All those characteristics are compiled in the Dhammapada. One who seeks the truth, irrespective of his religious beliefs, can read this book of wisdom interest and profit. The person who read this book and act in own day today life, can gain spiritual bliss that transcends worldly happiness and can reach the higher position by purify himself and try to purify others and enlighten both by example and by precept. The Dhammapada is not like a novel or other books. It should be read and re-read so that it may serve a companion for inspiration, solace, and edification times of need. The Dhammapada was not preached by the Buddha in the present form. Three months later the passing away of the Buddha, the Arahants, who assembled at the 1st council to rehearse the Teaching of the Buddha, collected some of the poetic utterances of the Buddha, which he expounded on different occasions, arranged and classified in it, naming it the Dhammapada. The Pli term Dhamma, Sanskrit Dharma is one of the most difficult words to be translate into English as it has many meanings. It has to be understood according to the context. Here it is used in the sum of Sayings or Teachings of the Buddha. Pada implies sections, portions, parts or way. Dhammapada may be applied Sections, portions of the Dhamma, the way of the dhamma. Sometimes it is difficult to offer a perfect meaning in English. Its literal meaning The way of Truth, The way of Righteousness, and The path of Virtue, are have been suggested by various Scholars. The Dhammapada contains of 423 melodious Pali Verses, Uttered by the Buddha on about various occasions, to suit the listeners in his preaching tours during His ministry of forty-five years ago. It consists 26 Vaggas or chapters on various topics such as morality, non-violence etc. So it is a useful hand book of the Buddhists as well as Non-Buddhists to succeed variable life.
