Summary of Area/Department Focus: Take the lead on engineering integrity for all current and future projects working with and supporting internal and external customers while providing the initiative to take the product(s) into the future and provide a stable future for CU within the Offshore and Marine marketplace. 2. Role Content Summary of Role Purpose: To provide the lead engineering role in support, solutions and design integrity on all complex projects and development. To ensure we remain a leader in the market place and a strategic responsibility to bring new and innovative designs to the market first. Business Impact: Effective engineered solutions will lead to repeat growth and customer delight. Poor engineered solutions will lead to damage of business reputation and poor performance of team. Work Scope Planned Activities: Current projects will typically have a 3 9 month lead-time which is reviewed on a weekly basis. Product Development on new or improved product will be an ongoing activity. External Relationships: Manage, support and assist our customer base in providing engineered solutions and responses in an accurate and timely manner. Internal Relationships: Interact on a daily basis with global peers and colleagues from all departments in order to meet company objectives and goals. Provide the engineering expertise to support our growing internal and external customers. Coordinate engineering deliverables with the engineering resources in the CUEC (India). Inherit sales / engineering training to both internal and external customers. Instigate and further develop work processes within the company that better meets the changing environment within CU while staying within common guidelines and rules for global development. Liaise with the Global Engineering Team to stay current with modern ideas and practices. Collaborate with the Sales and other facilities worldwide to enable changes to customers needs / market conditions.

HSE Responsible for Health and Safety of self and team. Ensure compliance of SHE requirements for contract and products to customers. Be a role model for SHE leadership behaviours on-site and in representing CU. Key Accountabilities: (maximum of 8) Ensure designated projects produce required deliverables to required standards of quality within specified constraints, providing a quality service to internal / external customers. To lead and take overall responsibility for engineered projects, conducting design reviews, applying engineering principles, calculations and methodologies; varying complexity of projects will need to be managed accurately on a timely and cost driven basis. Develop work processes and strategies that can help streamline the business while adhering to CU tools and goals. Right First Time. Removing non-value added inefficiencies out of the project (errors, rework, duplication) Attaining the engineering prowess to design and develop future product for unchartered markets and key accounts. Assist the Executive Managers in identifying significant change opportunities supporting core business objectives via data collection, analysis and evaluation, challenging conventional thinking, and applying a customer-focused approach across end to end processes. Key Deliverables/Performance Indicators: (maximum of 8) 1. Engineering lead / facilitator ensuring contract specifications are met and customer satisfaction is up held. 2. Liaise with Project Management to ensure on time deliverables, future goal requirements and to remove risk from projects / contracts. 3. Take charge of new innovative designs and products to influence a greater market share. 4. Work alongside sales to assist, support and lead engineering expertise. 5. Produce an integral relationship / workflow with all key deliverable departments. 6. People management of Succession planning, attendance, development targets met. 7. Coordinate and manage our external engineering resources from within the CUEC (India). 8. Lessons learned management report for every complete project. 4. Qualifications:

Knowledge of structural engineering and FEA (preferred), Offshore. Bsc or equivalent in Mechanical / Structural Engineering
