1. The weather in Lithuania is different from the weather in England. England climate is better than Lithuania climate. Why?

Because the sea keeps the island warm in winter and makes the air cool in summer. Lithuanian coasts are being bathed by the sea too, but it is only in the west part of the country. The weather changes in England very often and it cant be the same kind of weather for a long time. In spring sunshine and showers follow each other. In spring the weather is generally mild but sometimes they get cold days. In Lithuania spring weather is similar but it is rarely raining and sun is shining almost everyday. Summers are not so cold as on the continent and warm days in autumn are beautiful in England. Lithuanian summer is usually very hot. The temperature is above 300 C. In autumn is usually rainning and blowing cold wind. England winter has all sorts of weather. Sometimes it rains and sometimes it snows. It is never so cold in winter as on the continent and there is not much snow. Winter in Lithuania is often cold and there is a lot of snow. Also there is fog and frost. I think weather in boths countries is very similar and it is better than in Australia, Africa or in Antarctica.

2. Winter in Lithuania unlike in Spain is mostly associated with lots of snow

and cold weather. Sometimes the temperature can drop down to as much as 25 or even 30 degrees below zero! Of course, there are just a few days like that, but when it happens all schools close down and people are recommended to stay indoors to avoid the cold that sometimes may have severe consequences on one's health. 2 a. The most enjoyable time in winter is when it snows. The temperature normally is around - 1 to - 5 degrees Celcius, which is cold enough for the snow not to melt away but still not low enough to cause harm to people's health. This is when children go sleigh-riding, build snowmen and play in the snow, or go for a walk in a snowy town, park or forest with their parents. And after that it is always very nice to come back home and have a cup of hot tea with lots of sugar and ginger biscuits... Winter is definitely the most magical time of the year in Lithuania.

3. Lithuanian Winters are very severe. From the month of November to April the whole country is a glittering white expanse. The houses are, however, so comfortably warmed-- not overheated, as is supposed in England

4. In most peoples minds eye, winter in Beijing is harsh, bleak and chilly. The drowsy season would confine them in the stuffy room and make them too idle to move any more. I dare say it is because they have neither seen this wonderful season attentively nor learnt to enjoy it yet. Actually, if you experience winter with rapt attention, you will find that it has a vast reservoir of charm beyond your imagination. 4 a. The best way to know winter, such an icy and reserved person it usually seems like, is to go outside of your warm house and walk towards him as closely as possible. That is why I revel in rambling alone in winter whenever I am free. Away from the crowds of people, the noises of traffic and the stinging light of neon lamps, I sometimes saunter along a peaceful lane as the dark heavenly curtain is rolling down. The lane is paved with thick yellow carpet that is made of thousands of withered leaves. Treading lightly on it, I enjoy the cracks sounding continually under my feet, as if they are conversing with me fondly. Two rows of birch trees stand along the roadsides, stretching their naked branches so high as to poke holes in the sapphire blue sky. I know, on those old branches are recorded people

5. After my stroll to the end of the lane, a broad avenue thronged with vehicles and pedestrians greets my eyes. In order to keep out the severe cold, all people are swathed in many layers of clothing. It is funny to see they are so bundled up that each of them resembles nothing so much as the Michellin Man a huge, rotund apparition waddling down the street. Some of them seem like beached whales every time they have to get in or out of a cab. In any case, everyone is trying his utmost to live and work. 5 b. By the way, have you ever noticed where the first snowflake falls, or how it truly looks like? Stretch out your hand and allow one to lie down quietly in your palm. After fondling it with a connoisseurs eye, you cannot help uttering a sign of wonder: what a delicate, exquisite work of art that nature presents to us! Because of its six white ingeniously carved-like petals, snowflake impresses everyone with its unmatchable sense of purity. 5 c. Best of all though, in Beijings winter, are those all-too-rare days of snow. It falls so gently yet has a deafening silence. Powdering the sloping roofs and lanes of hutong neighborhoods, and resting with elegant contrast on the blackened and bare tree limbs, it creates a stunning black-and-white photograph for the eye at every turn. As the snow falls, an air of calm and grace imparts upon this ancient city.
