Pupils have already learnt about Malaysia in their Local Studies class. Learning Outcomes : 4.3 Complete texts with the missing word, phrase or sentence. Curriculum Specifications: 4.3.2 Complete simple instructions, recipes, descriptions, rhymes with the missing words and simple phrases Lesson Objectives : By the end of the lesson pupils should be able to: 1. Find and write required information from a text/passage that they have read. 2. Complete a simple text with suitable sentences.(Guided) Educational Emphases: Moral values: 1. Pupils learn to love and appreciate their beloved country. 2. Pupils will feel the urge to become useful citizens in the future. CCTS: 1. Pupils learn how to interact and work effectively in groups. Teaching Aids : Task sheet 1 & 2, map of Malaysia, word search puzzle.

Pre- writing ( 15 min)

Teaching/ Learning Activity 1. Teacher greets pupils. 2. Teacher asks pupils questions regarding Malaysia. 3. Teacher responds appropriately to pupils answers. 1. Pupils are divided into three groups. Each group will have to solve a set of word search puzzle.

Rationale - To arouse pupils interest. - To capture pupils attention. - To make sure pupils acquire words that are related to the topic.

Each group will then show their completed puzzle to the class. (Peer evaluation) 1. Pupils are given Task sheet 1. 2. Pupils read the text given, then find and write the important information. 3. Pupils discuss the answers with teacher. 4. Pupils are given Task sheet 2. 5. Pupils will have to use the answers in Task sheet 1 to complete the missing sentences in Task sheet 2. 6. Pupils read the completed text. 1. Pupils will play a game. 2. Teacher explains how the pupils will play the Tourist Guide Game. 3. Pupils play the game in three groups. 1. Teacher reflects what pupils have learnt. 2. Pupils are given remedial/enrichment vocabulary exercise.
