Abstract: In this paper, we have studied the notions related to fuzzy soft mapping. The definitions of fuzzy soft image and
fuzzy soft inverse image put forward by Kharal and Ahmad have been reintroduced and the concepts of fuzzy soft bijective
mapping, fuzzy soft identity mapping and fuzzy soft continuous mapping have been put forward. Some propositions along
with examples have been cited in our work.

Keywords: Fuzzy soft set, Fuzzy soft topological space, Fuzzy soft mapping, Fuzzy soft bijective mapping, Fuzzy soft
identity mapping, Fuzzy soft continuous mapping.

1. Introduction
In many complicated problems arising in the fields of engineering, social science, economics, medical science etc involving
uncertainties, classical methods are found to be inadequate in recent times. Molodtsov [4] pointed out that the important
existing theories viz. Probability Theory, Fuzzy Set Theory, Intuitionistic Fuzzy Set Theory, Rough Set Theory etc. which
can be considered as mathematical tools for dealing with uncertainties, have their own difficulties. He further pointed out
that the reason for these difficulties is, possibly, the inadequacy of the parameterization tool of the theory. In 1999 he
initiated the novel concept of Soft Set as a new mathematical tool for dealing with uncertainties. Soft Set Theory, initiated by
Molodtsov [4], is free of the difficulties present in these theories. In 2003, Maji, Biswas and Roy [2] studied the theory of
soft sets initiated by Molodtsov. They defined equality of two soft sets, subset and super set of a soft set, complement of a
soft set, null soft set, and absolute soft set with examples. Soft binary operations like AND, OR and also the operations of
union, intersection were also defined.
In recent times, researchers have contributed a lot towards fuzzification of Soft Set Theory. Maji et al. [3] introduced the
concept of Fuzzy Soft Set and some properties regarding fuzzy soft union, intersection, complement of a fuzzy soft set, De
Morgan Law etc. These results were further revised and improved by Ahmad and Kharal [1]. In 2011, Neog et al. [5] put
forward some more propositions regarding fuzzy soft set theory. They studied the notions of fuzzy soft union, fuzzy soft
intersection, complement of a fuzzy soft set and several other properties of fuzzy soft sets along with examples and proofs of
certain results. They put forward the notion of union and intersection of two fuzzy soft sets over two fuzzy soft classes.
Tanay et al. [8] introduced the definition of fuzzy soft topology over a subset of the initial universe set while Roy and
Samanta [7] gave the definition of fuzzy soft topology over the initial universe set. Neog et al. [6] studied some properties
related to fuzzy soft topological spaces and some propositions have been established in their work. In this paper, we have
studied the notions related to fuzzy soft mapping. The definitions of fuzzy soft image and fuzzy soft inverse image put
forward by Kharal and Ahmad [1] have been reintroduced and the concepts of fuzzy soft bijective mapping, fuzzy soft
identity mapping and fuzzy soft continuous mapping have been introduced. Some related propositions along with examples
have been cited.
2. Preliminaries
Throughout our discussion, U would refer to an initial universe, E, the set of all parameters for U and ) (
~
U P , the set of all
fuzzy subset of U and also by (U, E), we mean the universal set U and the parameter set E.

Definition 2.1 [4]
A pair (F, E) is called a soft set (over U) if and only if F is a mapping of E into the set of all subsets of the set U. In other
words, the soft set is a parameterized family of subsets of the set U. Every set E F e ), ( , from this family may be
considered as the set of - elements of the soft set (F, E), or as the set of - approximate elements of the soft set.

Definition 2.2 [3]
A pair (F, A) is called a fuzzy soft set over U where ) (

Roy and Samanta [7] restated the definition of fuzzy soft set and defined fuzzy soft topology in the following manner -

In our work we simply assume that 0 =

3. Fuzzy Soft Continuous Mapping
Kharal and Ahmad [1] initiated the definition of fuzzy soft mapping in the following manner:

Definition 3.1
Let (U, E) and (U*, E*) be classes of fuzzy soft sets over U and U* with attributes from E and E* respectively. Let
* : U U and * : E E be mappings. Then a fuzzy soft mapping ( ) ( ) * *, , : ) , ( E U E U f = would be defined as

In order to discuss the notion of fuzzy soft mapping in our way of representing a fuzzy soft set, we put forward the definition
in the following manner-

Definition 3.2
Let (U, E) and (U*, E*) be classes of fuzzy soft sets over U and U* with attributes from E and E* respectively. Let
* : U U and * : E E be mappings. Then a fuzzy soft mapping ( ) ( ) * *, , : ) , ( E U E U f = would be defined as

4. Conclusion
We have studied some properties related to fuzzy soft mapping. The notions of fuzzy soft bijective mapping, fuzzy soft
identity mapping, fuzzy soft continuous mapping have been introduced and some related properties have been established.
We have put forward examples to illustrate our notions.
