O. OF STUDENTS: 26. LEVEL: PRE-INTERMEDIATE. TEXTBOOK: WELCOME 3 , VIRGINIA EVANS , EXPRESS PUBLISHING. TOPIC: MEET MY FRIENDS ! LESSON TYPE : TEAM TEACHING, INTEGRATED SKILLS. AIMS: by the end of the lesson the students will have enriched their vocabulary with words related to pets and animal behaviour. Students will have reinforced the forms of the verb to be and to have got. Students will have improved their skills ( listening, reading, writing and speaking). SPECIFIC COMPETENCES: 1.1., 1.2 ., 2.1., *3.4., 4.2.

COMMUNICATIVE FUNCTION: F3 VALUES AND ATTITUDES: the manifestation of flexibility when changing ideas and conveying meaning. The manifestation of flexibility concerning team work in different communicative situations. The manifestation of curiosity for finding out new things regarding various life aspects from the British cultural space (that is ,the childrens universe).

T2 performs administrative -to relax the measures and introduces the atmosphere other teacher T1 T1 appreciates how much the -to introduce students have grown since last the topic of the summer; they talk about the way lesson to the they are grouped, about students them,being all friends together,with the new classmates.. ,ex.3\page 14. -T1 writes questions on the blackboard,one question for each group. -T1 checks Ss answers:1.Maggies,2.Eight., 3.Kamal,4.In the garden,5.They can swim,6.At night. -ex.4\page 15:T2 gives each group the handouts with the next task,namely to complete the chart with information from the text (appearance and food for all pets in the text). -T1 prepares the handouts for the next stage. -ex.9\page 16:T1 gives the students the handouts with the exercise:Which is the best animal for these people? Ss have to read and choose :one representative in each group reads a paragraph from 1-4 and chooses the right picture from ae.Answers: 1-a,2-d,3-f,4-c. T2- prepares the following activity (CD player and handouts). ex.10\page 17:T2 explains to the students that they should listen carefully to guess what pets the children in the pictures have got;T2 helps in the groups with the new vocabulary -T1 elicits the answers:A-goose, B- parrots,C- tortoise; -T2 announces the PET COMPETITION,explaining that each group should think of a pet write a description of it,( as the ones in ex.3\page 14),and represent it in a drawing on an A4 sheet of paper,.Each group chooses a representative to come
