P HILOSOPHY

OF

E DUCATION

I believe that children learn through contructing their knowledge from social and cognitive experiences. The role of the teacher is to be intentional in the planning of materials, lessons, and community building in the classroom to assist in each child's development. I consider the classroom community to be the most important part in developing trust, confidence, and character in students. By fostering this type of environment, the teacher and students will gain a mutual respect for each other, which will build the children's emotional and social intelligence.
