Dear all It was great to see so many of you at the meeting on Sunday.

There was some really positive feedback about how refreshing and releasing it was to be out in the Phoenix centre. The children and young people seemed to enjoy the facilities in the youth room as did many of us. Some people asked for a copy of the slides to help them continue with their thoughts and prayers during the week; they are attached. I hope it will help to keep others who weren't able to be there in the picture Our primary focus at this stage of the process is to focus on mission. The group discussion on Sunday was a start and we will meet again on Sunday to continue. We want to focus on mission before we look at our Sunday services. So first we need to ask ourselves what particular ministry is God putting on your heart which you would commit to once a month/week? The 5 principles of the Church of England Bid will be an essential part of helping us to go forward - we have discovered how essential these 5 areas have been to the success (in spiritual and personal terms) of ministries over the last few years, so they are there to be used and put to the test. The first principle ie Missional community groups is what we know as cell. Cell groups continue to be central to all we do to live out the 5 Springfield values (all involved, becoming disciples, creating community, doing mission, encountering God) On Sunday there will be an opportunity to meet in groups and to review ministry ideas and see how they would work within the guidance of the 5 principles It is really important for us to be praying into our way forward. There is an evening service on 7th October at 6.30pm which will have a focus on prayer. (more details to come via Springfield weekly update) Also I would love us to be praying on the eve of our 2nd anniversary on 13th Oct and into the morning, taking turns to go and pray so we cover every hour during that time - through the night and into the new dawn and then all come together for the morning service. I have asked St Pauls if we could use the building and await confirmation. At cell this week: It is really important to spend time this week looking at some of the things raised last Sunday in preparation for this Sunday. Spend time praying. Offering to God and giving thanks for all that he has given us; the people, the community of Roundshaw. Offering ourselves and asking for Gods guidance, refreshment and releasing. Questions - please make sure that everyone is able to contribute 1. 2. Feedback ideas for mission that you shared in groups on Sunday. Are there any that you share in common?

3. Which of the way forward excites you or concerns you most:
