hange is in the air and opening up all around us. We would do well to remember Gods words in Revelation: Behold, I am making all things new.

The leaves on the trees are changing colors and soon will fall to the earth. The seasons mirror our lives with their ebb and flow of change and familiarity. At church, changes are being made to use the building more faithfully. Weve moved young people (5th 8th Grade) upstairs, and the younger students downstairs (PreK4th Grade). We moved the Education Storage Room into the Education Wing. Were making a place near the nursery for mothers and fathers to feed little ones in peace, quiet, and some privacy.

In the months to come, your Counsel has approved the forming of a team to work on the Narthex, or Gathering Space. It would be great to be able to have coffee once again upstairs together following worship. Plans will be discussed at the Annual Meeting, to be held in January, before any major work will be done. Wednesday Night Worship is moving from 6:30 to 6:15 to accommodate changing school schedules and allow for Faith Formation from 7-8 p.m. on Wednesday Nights. Flannery OConnor once wrote in a letter, All human nature vigorously resists grace because grace changes us and change is painful. Isnt that the truth? But change is a gift. Even in this Fall Season where we reach towards Winter, we know that Spring is coming, and with it new life. These changes speak to the ways God is active among us, forming and growing this community. Pastor Jeni

Prayers, Birthdays and Notes

Please keep Trisha Baker (Afghanistan), Kally Anderson (United States) and Tyler Payla (returned from Kuwait) in your prayers as they serve their country.
Almighty God, we commend to your gracious care and keeping all the men and women of our armed forces at home and abroad. Defend them day by day with your heavenly grace; strengthen them in trials and temptations; give courage to face perils that surround them; and grant them a sense of your abiding presence wherever they may be; through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. From the mailbag Pastor Jeni and the Glyndon Lutheran Church. Your thoughtful tribute to our loved one will always be remembered with deepest gratitude. Thank you for remembering our Dad. We have great memories of Glyndon Lutheran! The Family of Loren Fevig

Our sincere Christian sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Pastor Loren Fevig
Eternal rest, grant, O Lord, and light perpetual shine.

Glyndon Lutheran Church is a Christ-centered community church, nurturing the faith of all generations.

Worship with us... Sundays at 9 a.m. Wednesdays at 6:15 p.m.

Office Hours:
Tuesdays & Thursdays 12-4 p.m. Wednesdays 10-4 p.m.

Rural Enrichment and Counseling Headquarters (REACH) regularly helps rural clients with meeting their basic clothing needs. As winter approaches so does the need for winter clothing. We have seen a pattern of the need for boots for children exceeding the supply so we are hoping to get local and community support in collecting more boots for our local kids. Please bring clean, gently used kidsize boots to church in October they will be given to REACH for distribution!
