HOLY SEX

FOR many centuries, many theologians, preachers, priests, and pastors have declared from the pulpit that sex is sin! St. Augustine didnt say that, because he believed that God designed sex to make babies, but he insisted that sex was inferior to the celibate life. For religious leaders of that era, sex was tolerated as long as some of the offspring will become priests and nuns. So for a long time, married couples were seen as second-class citizens of Heaven. Because of this, even today, many married Christians see sex as something to be tolerated and never to be enjoyed. Its too close to the boundaries of sin, we might as well go as far away from it as possible. But is it really? Today, I declare to you a shocking statement: Sex is Gods idea. He invented it. He designed it. He created the human anatomy, with all its curves and contours, with all its ability to tingle and tantalize. He created our ability to express love by giving sexual pleasure to our spouses. Today, Ill encourage married people to make sex not something you get but something you give. Strengthening your marriage will strengthen your sex life, and strengthening your sex life will strengthen your marriage. But Id like to also speak to those who arent married: The teenager with his raging hormones sloshing through his veins, or the singles in their twenties and thirties and forties in a world where sex is as casual as a handshake, or the separated or the widowed or those married people whose spouses are abroad, fighting loneliness. What do you do with your sexual desires? The options seem to be only twogive in to the desires or bury them forever. Is there a third option? We shall seek Gods wisdom for this sensitive area in todays Feast. Enjoy! May your dreams come true,

Sex is Sacred
Understanding the Purity and Purpose of Sex in the Most Holy Relationship called Marriage
Sex was Gods idea; He designed it. It is good! Lets understand that the purity and purpose of sex was designed by God in the context of a marriage relationship between a man and a woman. The expression of love between a husband and a wife is what we call holy sex. Holy sex is one of Gods most beautiful gifts to us. Sometimes, it blesses a husband and wife with children. But it always strengthens their spiritual covenanttrains a spouse to serve his partner by thinking of the others pleasure before his own, deepens their bond of love (because love gets stronger every time its expressed), and elevates their human spiritthereby blessing their family and their world. But sex has been robbed from us! It has been kidnapped by the world, claiming it to be its invention. Thats a lie! Today, theres holy sex and theres ugly sex (sex outside marriage). Sex outside a marriage relationship is ugly no matter how or what you call it (casual sex, intimate sex, onenight-stand, etc.). It is neither a handshake nor a high five. It isnt casual and will NEVER be because its sacred. Ugly sex is the monstrous, bastardized, perverted, vandalized, and demonic version of holy sex. It kills the human spirit, destroys marriages, breaks up families, and steals the dreams of young men and women. It has affected and destroyed families/societies through sexually transmitted diseases (e.g. HIV, AIDS, herpes, hepatitis, etc.), sexual abuse, and emotional damage. Sex outside its divine purpose is UGLY! Again, God invented and designed sex. It is deep, powerful, profound, earthshaking, and soul penetrating. Something happens to your spirit when you have sex! It isnt just about your body but your soul as well. You become intertwined with the other person. And so when there is nothing deeper between you and that person other than your skins connecting together, something in you disintegrates you disintegrate! You see this disintegration in people today, and this is reflected in the separation of families. God wants married couples to experience great sex. God loves great sex (holy sex) between married couples. You want proof? Proverbs 5:18-20 says: Rejoice in the wife of your youth. A loving doe and a graceful deerlet her breasts satisfy you at all times. Be captivated always with her love. For why should you, my son, be captivated with an adulteress? Why embrace the bosom of another? Lets say it again: God designed and created sexholy sex! Purity is power. It focuses your attention and energy towards your dreams. anger, fear, pain, frustration, and lossI was praying to God while Fr. Suarez was holding my hands with his right and lightly touching my forehead with his left. At that moment, I felt a supernatural sensation. There was an energy that touched my face and hit my heartthe part that needed healing. That was when I fell on the floor. When I regained my strength, I stood up and cried. I knew that what I felt was the love of God. In a snap of a finger, the anger vanished, the emptiness was filled, and the heaviness was lifted. God helped me to let go of all my excess baggage. I turned to love. Then, Fr. Suarez said that the ultimate purpose of healing is conversion to bring the healed person closer to God. That is exactly what happened to me. Because of His love, I learned to forgive. Truly, without love, we are nothing. Today, I dont miss out on Sunday masses anymore. January 31, 2011 saw the wonderful experience that happened to methe night I felt the love of God. January 30 was the day I learned about Fr. Fernando Suarezs Eucharistic celebration and healing service at the Nuestra Seora Del Perpetuo Socorro Parish. Amid my exercise routine at Elorde Boxing Gym in Manila, I thought of attending the mass but wasnt sure if I can make it. You see, I dont regularly attend Sunday masses, but I decided to do so after reading Stephen Coveys 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. So I looked for a church and found out from my trainer that Nuestra Seora church is just nearby. What? Fr. Suarez? I said to myself in excitement upon hearing that healing priest Fr. Suarez is coming to Nuestra Seora. Ive heard of him and his miracle work but never really had the chance to see him in person, so I promised not to miss the opportunity. At 9:00 in the evening of January 31, the healing mass went on. And right before my eyes, one miracle after another took place. Then my turn came.
