WHICH SIDE of the vehicle do you want to access your bicycle?

DRIVER SIDE LOADING: PASSENGER SIDE LOADING:

The dog should lean to the front of the vehicle. Change position if necessary Use A SHORT bolt to attach wheel tray to arm assembly. Push the dog toward the plates so that it is off the rivets. Rotate and push the dog back onto the rivets. Approximately* 12" / 30cm

This distance will require adjustment for varying bike styles.

Insert tray lock at back of wheel tray. Attach spacer and wing nut onto bolt. TIGHTEN. Note: Tray lock must be on same side as arm.

Insert a SHORTER bolt into the rear end of the wheel tray.

FOR LONG CROSSBAR SPREAD, attach rear wheel strap before the short bolt.

Install snaparounds. If you have square bars, see last page for SnapAround instructions. Set tray assembly on bars with rear bolt inserted into snaparound. To attach front hex keys, first raise arm into a vertical position. Insert bolts, and attach hex keys. Tighten until the plates make contact with each other.

Attach rear hex key and tighten.

Attach lever assembly .

Tighten keys so that they align with wheel tray.

Note: Red lever should point toward rear of vehicle.

Attach the two tray end caps.

Align the bump to the hole in the arm.

FOR SHORT CROSSBAR SPREADS: Attach front and rear wheel straps.

TO Load your Bike:

Lift bike onto wheel tray. Move the arm down.

While holding bike, raise arm up to the same angle as bike pedal crank.

Back-pedal the bikes crank into the clamp.

Levers bolt stem MUST SNAP into the clamps open end.

TIGHTEN by TEST the installation If there is play between the turning until the by shaking the bike. bikes crank and the clamp: lever closes with resistence. Open lever and turn once more. Repeat until lever closes VERY TIGHTLY.

IF YOUR BIKE LEANS:

Clamping of the bikes crank tightly is the key to a secure installation!

Move the clamp up or down along the crank or move the rear end of the wheel tray along the crossbar.

Secure the Rear Wheel. Pull the strap through wheel spokes. Insert the strap end behind the red button. Tighten strap by lifting the red tab up.

Check your wheel and tighten the strap if necessary. Release the strap by pushing the button.

Some bike wheels may be too narrow to allow a tight fit. Slide the strap in the tray until it rests against the rim. Tighten.

TO LOCK YOUR ANKLEBITER DEUCE TO YOUR RACK:

When carrier is empty, AnkleBiter Deuce can be clamped to wheel tray, and locked. Close lever around tray lock.

MAINTENANCE: Apply nonwater soluble lubricant to moving parts often, especially after exposure.

LA TTE CHIEN DOIT SE TROUVER VERS LAVANT DU VHICULE. Le retourner au besoin: Faire glisser le chien vers les plaques pour quil soit dgag des rivets.

laide dun boulon COURT, fixer le profil aux plaques.

Le faire pivoter et le ramener sur les rivets.

Environ* 30 cm (12 pouces)

*Cette distance varie selon le type de bicyclette. GLISSER LTRIER DE RANGEMENT PAR LARRIRE DU PROFIL.

Enfiler lentretoise et lcrou oreilles sur le boulon. SERRER.

Remarque: ltrier de rangement doit se trouver du mme ct que le bras.

Glisser un boulon COURT par larrire du profil.

SI LA DISTANCE ENTRE LES BARRES TRANSVERSALES EST GRANDE, engager la sangle de roue arrire avant le boulon.

POSER LES COLLIERS SNAPAROUND. Si vos barres transversales sont carres, Les instructions concernant les colliers SnapAround se trouvent la dernire. Poser le profil sur les barres en engageant le boulon court dans le collier. Pour engager les crous ailettes avant, il faut dabord relever le bras la verticale.

ENGAGER LCROU AILETTES ARRIRE ET LE SERRER.

ENFILER LES BOULONS ET ENGAGER LES CROUS AILETTES. Serrer jusqu ce que les plaques se touchent.

POSER LA MCHOIRE.

Serrer les crous de manire que leurs ailettes soient parallles au profil.

Remarque: le levier rouge doit pointer vers larrire du vhicule.

METTRE EN PLACE LES DEUX GARNITURES DU PROFIL. SI LA DISTANCE ENTRE LES BARRES TRANSVERSALES EST FAIBLE: engager les sangles de roues avant et arrire.

ALIGNER LERGOT AVEC LE TROU DU BRAS.

VOIR LA PAGE SUIVANTE pour le chargement de la bicyclette et pour verrouiller le porte-vlo au porte-bagages.

POUR CHARGER LE VLO:

DPOSER LE VLO SUR LE PROFIL. ABAISSER LE BRAS.

Tout en tenant le vlo, relever le bras jusquau mme angle que la manivelle du pdalier. SERRER le levier en le tournant jusqu ce quil se rabatte avec rsistance. VRIFIER le montage en secouant le vlo.

Faire tourner le pdalier vers larrire pour engager la manivelle dans la mchoire. SIL Y A DU JEU ENTRE LA MANIVELLE ET LA MCHOIRE: Ouvrir le levier et le serrer un peu plus. Recommencer jusqu ce que la mchoire serre la manivelle TRS FERMEMENT. SI LE VLO PENCHE: serrer la mchoire une hauteur diffrente le long de la manivelle du pdalier ou dplacer le bout arrire du profil le long de la barre transversale.

La tige du boulon du levier DOIT ENTRER EN FORCE dans la fente de la mchoire.

Il est essentiel que la mchoire soit trs serre sur la manivelle du pdalier pour que le vlo soit bien retenu!

FIXER LA ROUE ARRIRE.

Passer la sangle entre les rayons de la roue. Glisser le bout de la sangle derrire le bouton rouge. Serrer la sangle en relevant la patte rouge. POUR VERROUILLER LE PORTE-VLO ANKLEBITER DEUCE AU PORTE-BAGAGES: Quand on ne transporte pas de vlo, on peut fermer la mchoire du porte-vlo sur ltrier de rangement et la verrouiller.

Vrifier le positionnement de la roue et resserrer la sangle au besoin. Librer la sangle en appuyant sur le bouton rouge.

Certaines roues de vlo sont trop troites pour tre compltement immobilises. Faire glisser la sangle sur le profil jusqu ce quelle porte contre la jante. Serrer. ENTRETIEN Lubrifier souvent les pices mobiles laide dun lubrifiant non soluble leau, en particulier aprs les intempries.

Fermer le levier autour de ltrier de rangement.

DE QU LADO del vehculo quiere transportar su bicicleta?

! PARA CARGAR DEL LADO DEL CONDUCTOR: ! PARA CARGAR DEL LADO DEL PASAJERO:

EL PERRO RETN DEBE INCLINARSE HACIA EL FRENTE DEL VEHCULO: Cambie de posicin si es necesario Empuje el perro hacia las placas para separarlo de los remaches. Gire y vuelva a colocar el perro sobre los remaches. Use un tornillo CORTO para unir el riel de las ruedas al brazo. Aproximadamente* 12"/30 cm

* Esta distancia exigir ajuste para diferentes tipos de bicicleta. INSERTE LA TRABA DEL RIEL POR LA PARTE POSTERIOR DE STE.

Coloque el espaciador y la tuerca mariposa en el tornillo. AJUSTE

Nota: La traba debe estar del mismo lado que el brazo.

Inserte un tornillo MS CORTO en el extremo posterior del riel para ruedas.

PARA TRAVESAOS MUY SEPARADOS, coloque la tira de sujecin de la rueda posterior antes que el tornillo corto.

INSTALE LOS BROCHES SNAPAROUND. Si tiene travesaos cuadrados, Las instrucciones para SnapAround estn en la ltima pgina. Coloque el riel sobre los travesaos con el tornillo corto insertado en el snaparound. Para ajustar las tuercas hexagonales delanteras, levante el brazo a posicin vertical.

COLOQUE LA TUERCA HEXAGONAL POSTERIOR Y AJUSTE.

INSERTE LOS TORNILLOS Y COLOQUE LAS TUERCAS HEXAGONALES. Ajuste hasta que las placas se toquen.

COLOQUE EL JUEGO DE LA PALANCA.

Ajuste las tuercas para alinearlas con el riel.

Nota: La palanca roja debe apuntar hacia la parte trasera del vehculo.

COLOQUE LOS DOS CAPUCHONES DEL EXTREMO DEL RIEL. PARA TRAVESAOS POCO SEPARADOS: Coloque las tiras de sujecin delantera y trasera.

HAGA COINCIDIR LA TRABA CON EL AGUJERO DEL BRAZO!

VEA LA PGINA SIGUIENTE para cargar la bicicleta y ajustar el AnkleBiter Deuce a la parrilla.

PARA CARGAR SU BICICLETA:

BAJE EL BRAZO.

COLOQUE LA BICICLETA EN EL RIEL.

Sosteniendo la bicicleta, levante el brazo al mismo ngulo que la biela del pedal.

Gire el pedal hasta que la biela encaje en la abrazadera.

AJUSTE girando hasta que la palanca cierre con resistencia.

COMPRUEBE la instalacin, sacudiendo la bicicleta.

SI HAY JUEGO ENTRE LA BIELA DEL PEDAL Y LA ABRAZADERA: Abra la palanca y gire una vez ms. Repita hasta que la palanca cierre MUY AJUSTADAMENTE.

El tornillo de la palanca DEBE ENTRAR con un CLIC en el extremo abierto de la abrazadera.

La abrazadera bien ajustada en la biela del pedal garantiza una instalacin segura!

SI LA BICICLETA SE INCLINA: Suba o baje la abrazadera a lo largo de la biela o mueva el extremo posterior del riel para las ruedas a lo largo del travesao.

ASEGURE LA RUEDA TRASERA.

Pase la correa entre los rayos de la rueda. Inserte el extremo de la correa detrs del botn rojo. Ajuste la correa levantando la lengeta roja.

Verifique la rueda y ajuste la correa si es necesario. Suelte la correa oprimiendo el botn.

Algunas ruedas pueden ser muy finas para ajustar bien. Deslice la correa en el riel hasta que se apoye bien en la llanta. Adjuste. MANTENIMIENTO: Aplique lubricante no soluble en agua a las partes mviles especialmente despus de la exposicin.

FIJE EL ANKLEBITER DEUCE A LA PARRILLA:

Cuando el portabicicletas est vaco, el brazo del AnkleBiter Deuce puede fijarse al riel para ruedas y trancarse. Cierre la palanca alrededor del cerrojo.

If you have square bars, loosen the tabs by bending them repeatedly. Si vos barres transversales sont carres, assouplir les cales en les pliants plusieurs fois. Si tiene travesaos cuadrados, afloje las orejuelas doblndolas varias veces.
