At least noong 1st and 2nd year ako may exercise pa ko. Grabe ngayon ultimo paglalakad nakakatamad na. May mga oras na parang sinumpa ka ng universe kase alam mong may quiz sa room na super init. Tapos nakablack ka, nakalimutan mo calculator mo, wala kang pamaypay, nalate ka pa. Grabe, hardcore. Sa pagdaan ng mga araw, andyan yung nagiging seryoso na yung mga bagay. Sabi nga ng tropa ko, inspirasyon na niya yung mga kaibigan niya sapat na yon. Dadating yung panahon na mas gusto mo magsolo. Mas makakapagconcentrate ka kapag ganoon eh. Sa paggawa ng assignments, projects, pagrereview para sa exams. Pero tandaan ninyo. Mas masarap pa din yung may kasama ka. Yung mga ungas mong kaklase na hindi mo kilala noong 1st year ka, yan ang mga magiging kasama mo sa loob ng limang taon. Swerte mo pa kung hanggang board exams kasama mo sila. Madami tayong ginawa, madami pa tayong ginagawa at madami pa tayong gagawin. Pero sa huli magpapasalamat Tayo na dito tayo sa pup nag-aral. At hindi lang basta aral, tandaan natin` na sa bawat mga bagay na Mangyayari pa. Mechanical engineering ang kurso kinuha natin, kahit mahirap sigurado masaya naman.

Recently I've been asking myself. Ano ba mga ginagawa ko sa araw-araw mula nung pumasok ako sa sintang paaralan bilang ME? Ewan ko, first day ko sa pagpasok sa school. Typical boring day. Aga pa naman nun. 7:30am. Yung klase ko. Walang kakilala sa room as usual. Parang urban jungle. Siguro madami sa inyo lalo na yung mga first year naramdaman to nung first day. Attendance, konting lecture, boom! Uwian na. Anong gagawin mo? Uuwi ka ba talaga agad? Ako oo, umuwi ako agad. Wala kakilala eh. Hahahaha. Pero yung iba astig, nakipagkilala agad. Naglagay ng impression. Nakakainggit nga eh. 1st day pa lang may tropa na. Pero anyway, habang tumatagal ang panahon madami ka ng kaclose. May sisigaw dyan "taas-kamay!" tapos bibilang kayo kapag nakasampu na diresto computer shop o Kaya ng basketball court. Natural me tayo mga pre. Masakit mang aminin lamang talaga sa bilang Ang mga lalaki. Kaya madalas ganoon yung trip. Isa pa ay mag-"chick hunting" sa corridor. Lalo na Sa main. Daming chicks, hanep. Sa una parang pakiramdam mo pinagsakluban ka ng langit at lupa. Lalo na sa mga unang taon mo. Hapit ka pa makakuha ng "high grades" noon. Ako aminado ko hapit ako noon. E dadating din yung Panahon na maiisip mo na ang "tres passing" ay isang biyayang maituturing. Merong panahon na sobrang haba ng vacant hours ninyo pwede ka pang umuwi tapos bumalik sa sobrang haba. Tipo bang 9:30am to 3pm. Nagawa mo na lahat ng pwede mong gawin hindi pa din ubos vacant mo. May mga terror Professor, hindi naman maiiwasan yan. Mahihirap na projects. THE SECRET OF HAPPINESS By: Emmanuelle Montemayor (IV-3) Demoralized by the phlegmatic mindset of adopting with global dilemmas, few in the diverse world have unraveled the real key to the secret of happiness. Searching the four corners of the world, soaring the height and digging the depths to pursuit happiness. To dare devils around, happiness is merely keeping the adrenalin at the peak and barely pushing their excitement to the limit. Contaminated by love of money numerous found their happiness in patting glory on their names with popularity on their sleeves. Consuming their days improving arsenals and repertoire in desired field of expertise such as athletes and entrepreneurs. Succumbed by the clouds of their intelligence and cleverness scientist and philosophers defy God to prove their incomparable logical prowess that give them happiness. Despite all these have shed their doubts on the real happiness, as Martin Luther King Jr. once quoted, The key to the solution of the problems of the world is love. EMPTY. This is what I feel. I am embedded with pity. My name is Randy. A nigger, a person with no personality they say. We are three in the family and my parents are both supportive and they always make me happy every time I lose hope. Well its just because I have no one else to lean on, except them who gave me life. When I was in school I was alone sitting in my chair with no one beside me eating my lunch at the canteen with no one to share with and going home alone with no one to talk to. What kind of life is this? My life has no meaning at all. But one day, everything had changed because of my inspiration. Bernie became my friend. He was so understanding and brave. Even though we couldnt understand each others form of language there was no hindrance with our true friendship. I met him at the park when I was once walking home from school. I found him starving from hunger so I gave him some cookies and he liked it. I asked mom if he could stay in our house because he had no home to stay. That was the beginning of our joyous days. The frowned Randy before now became a happy and gay student. I wasnt afraid anymore of being alone because my friend Bernie was always beside me every time I needed his companion. We used to play at the park and when I had something, I shared it with him. He slept in my room and enjoyed many things in common. One day, during our Christmas celebration we went to my grandmothers house in Hawaii. We were so excited and this was the most memorable days of our life, I said. But this dream turned into a nightmare. One night, when we were soundly asleep, a fire caught the house, which started from the overheating of an appliance in the house. I was stocked in my room where the fire was all around. I couldnt stop my feeling and suddenly my tears fell down to my cheeks. I thought it was the end of my life but my adrenalin aroused which gave me courage to get out of the house. When I reached the door exterior I saw my parents waiting for me outside the burning house crying and shouting for my name. When they saw me coming out, they ran towards me and hugged so tightly that I couldnt hardly breathe. Suddenly, Bernie came into my mind. He was trapped inside the burning house. I cried and went back to save him and saw him inside the room but it was too late, my best friend Bernie was dead. I got out the house safely carrying my friends dead cold body. I felt guilty inside, but mom said it was part of our life. My tears felt through his body and said, goodbye Bernie my best friend, my DOG.

A professor kid after seeing that only few hands were raised after asking the question, "What is Mechanical Eng'g?" The class burst out laughing but at the back of everyone's mind, it's been years yet here we are doubting if we really know the meaning. Now I dare you to answer, what is Mechanical Engineering? Long before we enter college, each one of us has his/her own choice of course to take. Some may not even desired to be an M.Engr. "Ito kasi gusto ng parents ko eh", "Naubusan lang ako ng slot sa dapat kong course" or "Sumablay PUPCET score ko". Whatever reasons we may have, the thing is we are already in the midst of this war, not a war against our schoolmates or professors, but a war to become an engineer of excellence and integrity or just simply graduate." People learn from their mistakes", that's how the saying goes. In our experiences, we have collected almost all. During the freshmen years, I keep telling myself that I wouldn't be late in any of my subjects again. But then, together with my classmates, we ended up pushing a car that has been in the parking lot for almost three years in order to relocate it and to comply for our lates and absences. After taking an exam, almost everyone don't want to talk about it especially when they knew they did not do well. Instead they'll say, "Tara Dota." or "Tara SM, nood tayo sine yung tig15." (Yes, that's how much it costs back then.) Just to relieved the worry and stress brought about by the exam, thinking and promising that next time, they'll do better. Then when that next time comes, no comment. Well, subjects aside, it has been a fun ride. We have classmates that turned to friends, friends that became our siblings and some even became more than friends. College has been also the stage of 'first'. First 5.0, first girlfriend/boyfriend, first broken heart and so on. Sometimes I wonder why they say that highschool life is the best? Maybe because college life is the craziest.
