JACKET STRUCTURE Jacket structure connects the piles and transfer boat landing load, and environmental loads

(wave and current) to the pile. Jacket leg can be generated automatically from Precede (interactive full screen color graphic modeler). Jacket with 1,3,4,6 or 8 main legs and conductors may be automatically generated with or without grouted or non grouted pile with precede. Using jacket wizard, the following information are necessary. Work point(the elevation at which the legs become vertical Top framing Mudline elevation The leg batter The distance between legs at the work point Pile connecting elevation elevation at which the leg is shimmed to the pile The number of bays for conductor Other elevation/intermediate elevation Precede will calculate horizontal distance at all other elevations based on the above information supplied

JACKET INFORMATION Specify the number of legs and whether the leg is grouted, non grouted or no pile. DEFAULT GROUP NAMES The following are the group names referenced by members generated automatically by the jacket facility. Piles PLn Conductors CNn Wishbones W.B Legs LGn NON-GROUTED STRUCTURE Precede generates coincident leg and pile joints from the mudline, up to the pile connecting elevation and at all specified intermediate elevation between.

By default the leg joint is odd numbered and the coincident pile joint is numbered one greater than the leg joint (leg joint 101 is coincident with the pile joint 102) Leg joints are also created at the pile connecting elevation specified above the pile connecting elevation. The programme also creates the appropriate leg and pile members incident upon leg and pile joints respectively and connects coincident leg and pile joints with the wishbone members. At the pile connecting elevation, only leg joints which are shared by the leg and pile member are created. Pile joints at the mudline or at the pile stub elevation if specified are assigned PILEHD fixity. GROUTED STRUCTURE When legs are designated as grouted, leg joints are generated from the mudline, upward, at all specified elevation, pile joints. Pile members and wish bones members are not created. Leg joints at the mudline or at the pile stub elevation, if specified are assigned PILEHD fixities If pile stub are specified, the programme extend the pile and PILEHD fixities is assigned to the joint CONDUCTORS Up to 3 conductor bays can be generated automatically. The number of conductor, rows in the global X direction and the global Y direction are entered for each well bay. The top conductor elevation and any other elevation at which the conductor should not be connected to the structure are also specified. For each well bay the spacing between the conductors and location of the well bay are specified. Structure generated using the automatic generation facility have elevation, plan and face views created that may be displaced easily SPECIFYING LEG DATA The row labeling and leg numbers are entered on the row and leg tab.
