Switch your computer o. Unplug all telephones. Choose the telephone socket to which you wish to connect your modem. Observe the following points: If you > Wish to use Bluewin TV, position the modem by the telephone socket closest to your television. > Do not wish to use Bluewin TV, position the modem by the telephone socket closest to your computer.

Note for 4-pole telephone sockets: Connect the microlter using an adapter (available from any Swisscom shop). Do not plug telephones or fax machines into the second connection of the adapter.
Connect the units and cables supplied as shown in the illustration on the right.
> Are a new Swisscom DSL customer you still need to enable your Internet connection (registration). Follow Section 3. Registering DSL by Swisscom on the back of this manual. > Are an existing Swisscom DSL customer (DSL customer or Bluewin TV customer), you can now > use the Internet > install Bluewin TV or > set up WLAN in accordance with the attached manual Setup WLAN.

No > Check whether your modem is switched on (Step 8). No > Check the power supply unit and mains connection (Step 7).
Wireless on > Is the DSL lamp lit on the modem? / off
No > The DSL line is faulty or not yet connected. > Check the cabling between the modem and telephone socket (violet cable). > Check the connection date for the DSL connection in one of the letters you have Wireless on / off received from Swisscom. > Is at least one Ethernet lamp lit on the modem?

After registration, you can set up a wireless Internet connection (WLAN) on your computer. To do this, follow the instructions on the screen or the attached manual Setup WLAN.
