A Love Letter My Dear Ana,

I wrote to let you know how much you mean to me. Yesterday, I saw you walking and laughing with your classmates and I hoped that soon, youd want me to walk along with you. I cared for you so I painted you a sunset to end your day: likewise, I whispered cool breeze to refresh you. I waited for you but you never called. However, I just kept on loving you. Last night, I saw tears tricking down your cheeks. I knew you were hurt and sad; consequently, I wanted so much for you. Unfortunately, you didnt think of me nor ask my help to ease your pain. I spilled moonlight unto your face and made the stars burn their brightness but you were so filled with self pity, you didnt even notice. This morning, I exploded a brilliant sunlight into glorious morning to cheer you up, but you woke up late and rushed off to school unaware of it. My sky became cloudy and my tears were rain. I love you. I truly and really care. I try to ease the intensity of my love not only in the silence of the green meadows bit also in the splendor of the blue sky. The wind whispers my concern throughout the treetops. In addition, I spill it into the vibrant color of the flowers. I shout my love for you in the thunder of the great waterfalls; furthermore, I compose love songs for the birds to sing for you. I warm you with the clothing of my sunshine, and I perfume the air with the natures sweet scent. My love for you is deeper than the ocean and it is greater than any need in your heart. If youd only realize how much I love and care. My father sent his love. I want you to meet Him. He cares, too. So please call on me soon. No matter how long it takes. Ill wait because I love you. Most sincerely, Jesus

D. Discussion Teachers Activity Do you like the letter? Whats the letter all about? Yes Evalyn. Considering youself as Ana. What will be your response towards Jesus? Yes, Luisa. Students Activity Yes Maam. Evalyn: The letter is about the love of Jesus to Ana. Luisa: I Felt guilty. Because He does anything just to show his love, but Ana still ignoring it. Like how He shows His love when He use to scarify Himself for us, to forgive our sins.

Very good. Now I have here some sentences taken from the letter we read. (Presenting the sentences through the

visual aids.) 1. Unfortunately, you didnt think of me nor ask my help to ease your pain. 2. I waited for you but you never called. 3. My sky became cloudy and my tears were rain. 4. Ill wait because I love you. What do you think is the use of these underlined words in those sentences? Yes, Teresa. Very good. These joining words are called conjunction. A Conjunction is a joiner; a word that connects (conjoins) parts of a sentence. There are three types of Conjunctions: the first one is the Coordinating Conjunction. Please read. These conjunctions have fewer than four letters. Always remember the acronym FANBOYS in recognizing coordinating conjunction. (For-And-Nor-But-Or-Yet-So) Teresa: It uses to connect other ideas in the sentences.

It may join single words, or they may join groups of words, but they must always join similar elements.

Sentences using conjunction: 1. Tony and I are standing together. 2. We have a lot of common, but we do not like the same kind of music. The second type is the Subordinating Conjunction. Please read. It comes at the beginning of a subordinate (or dependent) clause and establishes the relationship between the dependent clause and the rest of the sentence.

In writing paragraphs, they are

sometimes called transition devices, as they make transitions from one idea to the next smoother if not clearer. (Presenting the common subordinating conjunctions through the visual aids) Common Subordinating Conjunction after that although thus as though as if till as long as unless because until before when even if whenever even though where furthermore whereas how if if only now that in order that once rather than since so that than Michael: Unless we act now, all is lost. They are some conjunctions that combine with other words. They always travel in pairs, joining various sentence elements that should be treated as grammatically equal.

Sentences using conjunction: 1. Because I havent exercise lately I have started gaining weight. 2. Although the old man was hungry, he never said a word to anyone. Who can give another example? Yes, Michael. Very good. The last type is the correlative conjunction. Please read. They are the conjunctions that are more than one word.

Common Correlative Conjunction both..and not only..but also neither..nor nor..but either..or whether..or

Sentences using conjunction: 1. Either both sides agree about the rules, or we will have to call the game off. 2. Whether you win this game or lose it doesnt matter as long as you do your best.
