HALLOWEEN

SUPERIMPOSE: WHITE LETTERS ON BLACK BACKGROUND SMITHS GROVE SANITARIUM REMAINS BLACK DR. WYNN (V.O) It happened last Halloween. I remember it like it was yesterday. A family... slaughtered. FLASHBACK-QUICK CUTS The Myers house, lit by red and blue lights, big white brick kept up very well. Reporters everywhere. DR. WYNN (V.O) (Continued) Trace and Leslie Myers...throats slit, stabbed multiple times. FLASHBACK Two bodies are wheeled out of the big french doors, covered in white sheets. DR. WYNN (V.O) (Continued) Their eldest daughter, Judith Myers...her head beat in...stabbed multiple times. FLASHBACK-QUICK CUTS Her bed, stained red and pooled up with blood. Another gurney rolled out, covered in a sheet. DR. WYNN (V.O) (Continued) And finally...the little girl,Laurie. A year old, barely walking. Taken from her crib and slammed repeatedly until she died. FLASHBACK-QUICK CUTS Her walls...full of holes and bloody imprints. The final gurney rolled out, a small body covered in a sheet.

2. DR. WYNN (V.O) The worst thing the town had ever seen. Hell, the worst thing the entire state of Illinois had ever seen. FLASHBACK The neighbor, visibly shaken...tears welled up...being interviewed. NEIGHBOR I heard screaming, so I ran to their door. I pounded on the door, I just heard more screaming. And then...silence. I called the police...they are all dead arent they? Even the kids? He turns from the camera, breaking down. DR. WYNN (V.O) No signs of break in... not forced entry. Not even a sign of struggle. Only one survivor...a six year old child, your patient... MICHAEL MYERS. BLACK FALLS ACROSS... HALLOWEEN THEME BEGINS.... CREDITS ROLL... WYNNS OFFICE- DAY Close up on Dr. Wynns mouth. DR. WYNN You sure you are ready for this, Sam? Dr. Sam Loomis, 28, sits across the desk. DR. LOOMIS Ready for what exactly? Hes a six year old boy...pushed deep into his mind. Having heard this and seen the preliminary reports, can you blame him? DR. WYNN I dont know what they are teaching you kids these days in medical school, but this is not a by the book case. DR. LOOMIS With all due respect, I am twenty-eight...hardly a kid. I am more than capable of dealing with this. DR. WYNN I guess we will see then. Just remember, son, I will be watching you. DR. LOOMIS (while putting hat) Very well. He smiles. DR. LOOMIS When can I see him? INT. SMITHS GROVE SANITARIUM-HALLWAY The gate opens to a loud buzzer. SAM FLETCHER, 37, leads Dr. Loomis through the gate. SAM FLETCHER I hear you are new here... He stares down at the new doctors security badge. Sam. Sam. SAM FLETCHER (CONT) Hey thats my name too. Im

He holds his hand out. Dr. Loomis just nods at him. There is an awkward pause. Sam Fletcher pulls his hand back and they continue down the hall.

SAM FLETCHER (breaking silence) I run these back two halls of the maximum security ward. Im sure we will be seeing a lot of each other. Dr. Loomis smiles, impatiently. gate. Sam motions him to another

SAM FLETCHER (grabbing a clipboard) Who is your patient? DR. LOOMIS Michael Myers. Sam looks up from the clipboard. SAM FLETCHER Oh my. The Myers boy. Ill tell you a secret... He leans in. SAM FLETCHER (CONT) That boy scares the hell out of me. What he did to his parents... Dr. Loomis cuts him off. DR. LOOMIS Look, Im sure you mean well, but honestly Im tired of hearing everyones opinion on this child. Unless you are an investigating officer or a doctor, lets just leave the opinions to yourself. SAM FLETCHER (growing angry) No worries. He opens the final security gates and escorts Dr. Loomis further down the hallway. They continue to walk, in complete silence, to the end of the hallway. SAM FLETCHER (contd) gates by the end of the week. Until then... He hands the security keycard to Dr. Loomis. SAM FLETCHER (CONT) Use mine. There is a buzzer under the table, its an alarm. Should it be sounded, a team of eight with riot gear on will be here in a jiffy. Needless to say, be careful where you put your knee. He waits, hoping for a smile...but gets nothing from an obviously annoyed Dr. Loomis. SAM FLETCHER (CONT) (under his breath) Dick. DR. LOOMIS Excuse me? SAM FLETCHER Uh...nothing...I was just saying no worries, he hasnt spoken a word in six months. FADE OUT INT. SMITHS GROVE SANITARIUM/MYERS ROOM- DAY MICHAEL MYERS, 6, sits across the table of Dr. Loomis. Innocent and cuteness every little boy has. His head, slightly turned...eyes looking past Dr. Loomis. DR. LOOMIS Hello, Michael. Dr. Loomis smiles broadly, trying to catch the eye of his patient. DR. LOOMIS I am Dr. Sam Loomis. I am your new doctor. DR. LOOMIS I see here that you have a dog, Strode. Thats a unique name for a dog, wouldnt you say? The patient appears deaf to his doctor. DR. LOOMIS Okaaaay. Michael, heres the thing...I know you can hear me. Somewhere, in there...you can hear me. As your doctor, I am going to be honest with you. Brutally honest. He pauses. DR. LOOMIS (CONT) Michael, the only way you will get out of here...is if you start talking. Here... He hands Michael pen and paper. DR. LOOMIS (CONT) write. Give me something. I want to help you. We need to find the people who killed your family, Michael. Dr. Loomis stares at his watch. DR. LOOMIS Okay, time is up. Maybe tomorrow? He stands up and walks towards the door. Michaels eyes move from the wall down to the pen laying inches from his hands. DR. LOOMIS Oh...I almost forgot. Dr. Loomis grabs the pen and paper. DR. LOOMIS Cant have me getting fired my first day on the job.
