Wash, Wash, Wash!

Mud. Dirt. Bugs. These are among a million things that your little ones can get their little hands into. With the flu and cold season coming up, it is extremely important that your kiddos are frequently washing their hands. You can feel comfortable knowing that at KKLA, our teachers ensure that all the children wash their hands as much as possibleit is even included in the daily schedule multiple times.

Hand washing is the first defense we can take to make sure that our children, and ourselves, dont get sick. Good hand washing can prevent the spread of many illnesses, such as the common cold, hepatitis A, meningitis, and many more. So, make sure to wash your little ones hands and have them sing (or you sing if they are unable) a short song, like the ABCs to guarantee that they are washed long enough. Please wash your hands when you enter our building. And please make sure to wash their hands and your hands frequently so we can all be healthy this Autumn.

Book Review
Bear Has a Story to Tell
By Philip C. Stead Bear really wants to tell his friends a story before hibernating, but it doesnt work out as planned. This book displays an endearing story of friendship and patience. With beautiful artwork and a steady rhythm of the story, this book will soon become the whole familys favorite. This book is more appropriate for children ages 3-5. You can talk to your children about winter and about what the different animals do, like how Bear hibernates and Duck flies South. Both educational and fun, this book will keep you warm all season.
