Introduction

An intruder detection system is designed to ensure the detection of, assist in the apprehension of intruders and alert the security unit. An intruder's best opportunities arise when the building is unoccupied at nights, weekends and during holidays. At these times of greatest vulnerability, electronic security measures must come into play.

BASSCOMM is offering an intrusion Detection System manufactured by TEXECOM. TEXECOM is a leading specialist in protecting buildings against intrusion. The TEXECOM Intrusion system is one of the best solutions for buildings requiring a simple intrusion detection system such as office buildings, banks, warehouses, shopping malls, supermarkets etc. The system is fully automated to detect intrusion early, to raise both audio and visual alarms, at the same time reveal the zone of intrusion within the building and to send a distress message or call to security operatives. It is easy to set up and maintain.

Key benefits of Proposed Solution

System Integrity Investment Protection Reduced Operational cost Effectively Monitored Employee Productivity

Design Considerations This proposal takes into cognisance the following factors:

The Clients Requirements Assist in monitoring the branch perimeter at night Motion detection/sensing system Must have an integrated alarm and alert system with recent technologies siren system, GSM and Email alerts etc) Expectation for the solution upon successful implementation to complement the human guards.

Basscomm will ensure the following;

That the Intrusion Detection system will be of high reliability and no possibility of false alarm at minimal cost.

That the Intrusion Detection system will be flexible, easy to operate and absolutely protecting the required areas.

That the Intrusion Detection system has facility for user control and easy maintenance.

Design Overview This system works in such a way that any movement within the protected area is detected by an infrared detector and the information is sent to the control panel which interprets it and sends appropriate signals to a master blaster to the create awareness of intrusion.

SYSTEM COMPONENTS

Passive Infra-Red Detectors The Passive Infrared Detectors which transmits infrared radiation from various parts of the area on to a sensor would be mounted at the perimeter of the buildings such that If an intruders

presence is detected, a signal is passed to the control unit, which in turn causes the signalling equipment to operate.

Texecom Premier Control Panel This programmable panel interprets signals from the detectors and controls all the processes of user coding, real time event log and alarm management. The control panel will be mounted out of sight in a secure area.

Texecom Premier Com IP The Texecom Premier ComIP module will be connected to the Texecom Premier control panel and allows the system to be connected to a local or wide area network (LAN/WAN). This allows alarms to be signalled over an IP network to an alarm receiving centre via Texecoms Montex IP receiver software.

Premier ComGSM The Texecom Premier Elite ComGSM is a GSM/GPRS communicator for wireless monitoring & reporting of burglar alarm systems. The Premier Elite ComGSM can be used for GPRS alarm reporting and

upload/download.This will send GSM alert to phones in the event of intrusion of the protected area.

Montex Software Software based alarm receiver interface for connecting with Premier Elite Com IP alarm signalling equipment. The Montex software also manages the polling of each monitored site.

LCD Keypads The keypad is used to control the alarm system and to display its status via the English text display. The keypad also provides audible feedback each time a key is pressed. Each keypad will be mounted in a convenient location inside the protected premises, near the designated points of entry/exit.
