CHAPLAIN (LIEUTENANT COLONEL) HARRY R. REED, JR


Our speaker is Chaplain (Lieutenant Colonel) Harry R. Reed, Jr. of Headquarters, United States Army Garrison Fort Gordon, Georgia. Chaplain Reed is originally from Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on the 16th of August 1954 to Mr. Harry R. Reed Sr., and Mrs. Willie Mae Galvin-Reed. Chaplain Reeds active duty military assignments include Fort Riley, Kansas; Camp Hovey, Korea; Fort Polk, Louisiana; Fort Rucker, Alabama; and Fort Still Oklahoma. He served in the U.S Army Reserve with the 95th DIV in Lawton Oklahoma as well as the 403rd Brigade Headquarters in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Chaplain Reed has completed the requirements of several military training programs. He completed his Basic and A.I.T. in Fort Polk, Louisiana. He completed both the Chaplain Officer Basic and Advance Courses. He has Bachelors of Applied Ministry from Marlow Missionary Baptist College, a Master of Divinity from Oral Roberts University and Master of Arts in Counseling from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is married to the former Lillie L. West, they have 6 children, 3 boys and 3 girls, with 6 grandchildren, 5 girls and 1 boy, all their children are grown and gone.
