The purpose of the GBCI/CMP program is to facilitate access to high-quality professional development courses which further enrich the knowledge and understanding of green building theory, techniques, and trends for building professionals. Many courses in this catalog have been officially approved for credit under the Credential Maintenance Program (CMP) for LEED professional credentials.
AEE is a Registered Provider within the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Continuing Education System (CES)
Many AEE training seminars are now approved by AIA for continuing education credits. AEE is an approved training provider within AIAs Continuing Education Systems (CES) Registered Provider program. AIA requires that its registered architect members earn 18 Learning Unit hours of continuing education credit annually to remain in good standing. Architectural boards in 40 states, 10 Canadian provinces, and 19 countries have implemented mandatory continuing education (MCE) for relicensure.
AEE Developing Masters Level Training Programs with Funding Provided by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)
AEE was selected by the DOE to expand its industry-recognized energy auditing and building commissioning training programs. Under DOE grant funding, AEE has developed new advanced programs Advanced RetroCommissioning (preparatory training for the Masters Level CBCP exam/page 19), and Advanced Energy Auditing (preparatory training for the Masters Level CEA exam/page 15).
Complete Your Continuing Education Requirements by Attending an AEE Live or Online Seminar
As of this printing, 39 states require Professional Development Hours (PDH) or Continuing Education Units (CEU) as a prerequisite for P.E. license renewal. Below is a summary of these requirements by state. Professional engineers should contact the appropriate state board of professional licensing to verify the latest requirements. Many states which do not presently have training requirements are considering adding them in the future. (1 CEU = 10 PDH)
AEE is an approved provider in Florida (Provider No. EXP003866), Indiana, Louisiana, New York (Provider No. 11), and North Carolina (Provider No. S-0327). As a nonprofit professional society, we are automatically approved in most other states. You should verify any providers status with your own state board. AEE will furnish a certificate indicating the CEU/PDH credit earned and the course completed. This documentation is normally required for P.E. renewal. AEE 2013 CATALOG OF SEMINARS 47
