Review of utility bills, typical bill structures, financial incentives Pre-audit facility manager interview Benchmarking analysis (ENERGY STAR and Portfolio Manager) Building walk-through data Establishing a baseline for measuring improvements Typical savings and low cost/no cost improvements

ABOUT THE SEMINAR

Traditional energy audits are based upon the evaluation of existing energy consumption, on-site data collection from energy-consuming equipment, and reporting of common energy conservation opportunities. These audits can typically lead to 10% energy savings. The goal of the advanced energy audit is to reach beyond the typical equipment replacements and develop a plan which considers additional areas such as indoor air quality, code compliance, operation and maintenance, risk mitigation, commissioning, and investment-grade details. This four-day course provides auditors with the knowledge and tools needed to develop enhanced recommendations leading to increased client energy savings. For those meeting qualifying criteria, the Masters Level CEA exam will be administered on the morning following the final day of each seminar. You must obtain a separate Masters Level CEA application by contacting AEEs Certification Administrator at (770) 4475083, Ext. 318, or by visiting: www.aeecenter.org/certification

ABOUT THE SEMINAR

This comprehensive seminar covers advanced approaches to retro-commissioning, including life cycle building commissioninga process of integrating traditional retro-commissioning processes into a single seamless approach. The traditional approach often has three or more separate commissioning agents during the various phases of pre-design, design, construction, and operation, which often does not yield the optimum results for the owner. The optimized life cycle approach integrates these various phases, and also includes a discussion of LEED, sustainability, and high performance buildings. Many of the measures are equally applicable to both large and small projects. Dozens of case studies from successfully completed projects are presented. For those meeting qualifying criteria, the Masters Level CBCP exam will be administered at the close of instruction on day 5 of each seminar. You must obtain a separate Masters Level CBCP application by contacting AEEs Certification Administrator at (770) 447 5083, Ext. 318, or visit: www.aeecenter.org/certification

AEE IN-HOUSE SEMINAR PROGRAMS

Most of the live seminar programs described in this catalog can also be arranged to be instructed on an in-house basis at your facility. Simply call the number below for further information or to arrange a program for your organization.

ADVANTAGES OF IN-HOUSE TRAINING

Most companies realize the importance of keeping key personnel up to speed on the latest developments in the energy field which impact their decisions. However, having an entire team exposed to the same body of instruction at the same time has the added benefit of motivating everyone to work together to accomplish specific goals. In-house programs have a proven track record of promoting cooperation, involvement, and results-oriented attitudes. In addition, by having a seminar conducted in-house, you can work with the course instructor to assure greatest emphasis on those areas most relevant to your operations and goals. Questions can often be answered in greater detail than is possible in a seminar whose participants come from many companies.

COST ADVANTAGE
You can train up to 20 members of your staff for one flat fee (or a specified fee for each additional student up to 65) AND you wont have to pay your employees travel costs, nor lose their valuable work time before and after the seminar. The following fee schedule is applicable for most programs:
NUMBER OF TWO-DAY SEMINAR PROGRAM ATTENDEES PROGRAM Up to 20 students Additional students $19,500 flat fee* FIVE-DAY FOUR-DAY THREE-DAY TWO-DAY CERTIFICATION CERTIFICATION CERTIFICATION CERTIFICATION PROGRAM*** PROGRAM PROGRAM PROGRAM $21,500 flat fee* $25,500 flat fee* Add $1150 per student $27,500 flat fee* Add $1250 per student $29,500 flat fee* Add $1250 per student

Add $950 Add $850 per student per student

*Plus in-house seminar client pays for instructor travel, lodging, and meal expenses. Base fee for certification training courses includes certification application fee for some certification programs; however, the certification application fee will be an additional cost for the BEST and Sustainable Technician certification programs, as well as for customized training programs.. Individuals must obtain, complete, and return certification applications to AEE certification department in advance in order to sit for exam (if applicable). A half day of instruction given on final day of a course followed by a certification exam shall be considered a full day and will be priced accordingly. Pricing is subject to change without notice. Contact AEE in-house seminar department for further details or for a detailed quote.

If a course is highly customized to meet your organizations needs, or must be extended in scope, your fee may need to be adjusted. The In-House Seminar Coordinator can provide you with a specific quotation. All arrangements with the instructor are handled by the In-House Seminar Coordinator. Your organization is responsible for providing a suitable location for instruction and for furnishing audiovisual equipment as specified by the instructor. AEE will provide each seminar participant with a course workbook.
