South Carolina University Dorms: Cold Water Supply System Rehabilitation

Location: South Carolina Situation:
An on-campus apartment complex, comprised of 29 buildings, experienced high levels of lead in its aged copper pipes. Small, temporary fixes failed to solve the lead leeching problem, so the university sought after an effective, long-term fix. But the work had to be finished before Fall semester.

Solution:

Nu Flow technician crews were on the job site 7 days a week for 6 weeks straight so that the work was completed before Summer break ended. Nu Flows patented blown-in epoxy coating was applied to the pipe system to prevent lead leeching, pinhole leaks and other failures.
