Week 5 Wrap Up

Were heading into week 6 and one has to wonder: who will win first, Tim or the Browns? Based on starting lineups here are my 3 early favorites to win the league: Darren Sharpa: The 5-0 record speaks for itself. Fantasy players dont get much more consistent than Ray Rice. He is a lock for double digits every week. Stevan Ridley is becoming one of the top running backs in the league & will have a great year as long as he stays out of Bills doghouse. The rest of the lineup consists of solid wide receivers, and a good tight end. Oh, and Peyton Manning is still Peyton Manning. Kushtastic Blake: Blake is doing what Will did a few years back when he dominated the league: striking gold on late round running backs. While some people were a little hesistant to draft Trent Richardson early because of the knee issues Blake rolled the dice & it has certainly paid off. Alfred Morris is consistently putting up respectable numbers as well. I havent seen a lot of him, but everytime I watch Demaryius Thomas I come away very impressed; hes got a lot of Brandon Marshall in him, but with more speed & better hands. Just think how awesome this team would be if Blake didnt take Chris Johnson with his first pick. 123: As usual, Ben is towards the top of the standings. Victor Cruz has already had 3 games with 20+ points. Running backs Jamaal Charles & Reggie Bush are both having fantastic years so far. Gronkowski & Drew Brees bring some stability and consistency to a lineup that has a few boom-or-bust guys. We all know that at least 1 of Bens players will go down in a week or two; the question is which one? The smart money has to be on Bush.

MVP: Marquest Colston 35.60 (Little Greg) Would have been really funny if Greg sat him, but V-Jax was on bye so the lineup decision was already made for him. Honorable Mentions: Reggie Wayne 33.70 (Keith Stone), Ahmad Bradshaw 28.90 (Barry Sanders), Percy Harvin 27.60 (Cobra Kai), Andrew Luck 29.88 (Randy Moss), Arian Foster 23.30 (Factory of Sadness)

MVP Standings:
123 2 Factory of Sadness 1 Kushtastic Blake 1 Little Greg 1

Best Start of the Week: Rashard Mendenhall 17.60 (Dumbledores Army) Im really impressed with how guys like Peterson, Charles, and now Mendenhall have recovered from pretty severe knee injuries sustained last year. Looks like hes got his speed back.

Best Start of the Week Standings:

Darren Sharpa 1 Cobra Kai 1 Factory of Sadness 1 Kushtastic Blake 1 Dumbledores Army 1

Worst Start of the Week: DeAngelo Williams -1.40 (Factory of Sadness) Classic Chox start.

Worst Start of the Week Standings:

Little Greg 1 Dumbledores Army 1 Barry Sanders 1 Cobra Kai 1 Factory of Sadness 1

Beat Down of the Week: Kushtastic Blake 122.26 vs. Cobra Kai 82.64 Piss poor performance from my squad. Only Percy Harvin hit double digits. Trent Richardson continues to dominate for Blake & the Bears D had 2 pick-sixes.
